Talladega Pickup Issues

Sorry if this has been asked before. Has anyone had issues with the pickups on their Tally? I don't notice any discernible difference between the neck pickup and the pickups in series on my Tally. Is mine wired incorrectly? Any help? Thanks.

On mine, switching to series gives noticeably more depth and adds more strength to the overall sound. It's a serious fourth option.

same with mine, noticeably more depth.

i will say this however, i did have to modify the factory p/u height's on my tally because they're quite strong... so i had to move them back quite a bit to get the right balance for the individual and mixed tones that i prefer (all personal taste of course). so, just wondering... could it be that you've got the p/u's too close to the strings and it's hard to notice a diff in tone? it's always possible that it didn't get wired correctly too.

You should definately notice a diff. If you really don't, sum'tin is up.

Thanks for the feedback. I don't notice a difference at all and the pickup height is close to spec. I guess I'll find a factory authorized tech in my area and him give it a going over.

Most likely you just have a wire on the selector switch that's either come loose or is touching an adjacent lug. Take the control cover off while the guitar is plugged into an amp (at low volume!) and poke at the wires gently with a pencil or chopstick. A slight movement may fix it (or reveal a broken connection).
