Shit it sounds like you guys have it together. I say next time scrape your rhythm take and play the lead live. You guys got it covered. Sounds great!

Best of the HFC vol 3 anyone?

Very nice !!! Perhaps a bit reminiscent of Steely Dan's Kid Charlemagne, just a weeeee bit more manic.

Thanks for the taste.

Thanks for the kind words.

Bill - as far as a more harmonic content goes I'm stretching my limit as it is. lol

I'm just an old shredder trying to play a little out of the box.

What's that saying....... You can't teach an old shredder new licks?

Its cool Bill, no offense was taken. Playing the Jazz/Fusion type stuff is real new to me and my playing vocabulary is very limited for that style right now. The good side is that it gives me tons of new things to work on rhythmically and melody wise.

Thanks for checking it out bro.

It sounds good. I actually tried playing along with it last night. It was fun.

Just curious...How was it recorded? Did you just put a stereo mic in front of the band and dubbed the solo?

BTW, for 2 chord vamps, I also like noodling around Dr John's "Right Place Wrong Time".

Thanks.

As far as the recording, everything was direct to a Zoom MRS-1608CD.

Guitar went through a Vox Tonelab.

Bass was through an SWR combo amp that had a DI out.

Drums were Roland V-drums. Thank god for those, makes recording drums a breeze and they sound great every time.

Right Place Wrong Time is definately a nice tune. I will have to revisit that one.
