BadgerDave Posted September 16, 2005 Posted September 16, 2005 Last night I was watching the DVD set of the first season of Miami Vice (the greatest television series ever made, BTW) episode 10. "Give a Little, Take a Little".Abut three minutes in, the scene shifts to the always-flying high informant "Noogie" fondling a pearl white snakehead Blitz. Unfortunately, the guitar is shown upside-down and backwards for most of the shot, but eventually he flips it over.Does any other guitar say "1984" as loudly as the Blitz?
pesocaster Posted September 16, 2005 Posted September 16, 2005 Great looking Superpro BTW!!!I tried to watch an episode of MV about 6 months ago... didn't even make it till the first comercial break.... Oh the 80's ..... hahahhaha
silentman Posted September 16, 2005 Posted September 16, 2005 Nice, I've been thinking about breaking out my pastel colored suit with t-shirt, no socks, capezio shoes, wayfarer sunglasses and 5-o'clock shadow. BRB, I have to feed my pet alligator.
serial Posted September 16, 2005 Posted September 16, 2005 Oddly enough, I saw a Hamer flashing briefly, but often on VH1 Classics last night in a place I wouldn't have expected it. COuldn't tell the model but it looked like a Chap/Cali bolt style headstock in a PIL video. Most of the vid shows the other guys in the band, particularly John Lydon and the bass player (w/a headless Steinberger) and the drummer. Pretty stupid tune, something about it being his land and he's a warrior and all that.LONG way from the Pistols, Johnny.
cmatthes Posted September 18, 2005 Posted September 18, 2005 Now if that Blitz had been Fuschia Pearl it really would have screamed "80s"!!I never noticed that one, but I do have a pic of Jol with a custom Vector from (I think) the '85 NAMM show and he's sporting a white jacket, pants and striped T-shirt.
BTMN Posted September 18, 2005 Posted September 18, 2005 Best episode was with Ted Nugent as a double crossing drug dealer robbing murderer. Every now and then they really were able to put a good music soundtrack to reflect the episode's action and feel.
mattb Posted September 18, 2005 Posted September 18, 2005 I spotted a Hamer Special I believe that was being played by RL Burnside's guitar player Kenny Brown in the You See Me Laughin' documentary. RL had some great music.-MattB
rmahurin Posted September 19, 2005 Posted September 19, 2005 Does any other guitar say "1984" as loudly as the Blitz? How about a Scarab with a graphic like this,..
