tonyvieira Posted September 16, 2005 Posted September 16, 2005 Is someone pulling my leg or is the list price of a Monaco III really $3500?
cmatthes Posted September 16, 2005 Posted September 16, 2005 Somebody's pulling your leg. They went up to $4,000 List after 7/1/05.
DavidE Posted September 16, 2005 Posted September 16, 2005 Now the question is whether he thought $3500 was too high or too low!
JohnnyB Posted September 16, 2005 Posted September 16, 2005 Now the question is whether he thought $3500 was too high or too low!Check the length of his leg.
tonyvieira Posted September 16, 2005 Author Posted September 16, 2005 I did not realize Hamer had went up that much, I bought a Superpro last year with a couple upgrades and it was very reasonable, thanks BCRGreg!A local shop had a Monaco III, I was considering unloading a guitar or two to make room, but now I don't know.
BCR Greg Posted September 16, 2005 Posted September 16, 2005 I still have a new Superpro that I am throwing away..... The last stock guitar in the store, only customs from now on.

If it is an "in stock" model, it may have been paid for/ordered prior to the increase, so you may be able to get it based on the earlier list price. I ordered one prior to the increase, so hope that's the case!!
jujisque Posted September 16, 2005 Posted September 16, 2005 The last stock guitar in the store, only customs from now on. Not enough interest in stock guitars?
BCR Greg Posted September 17, 2005 Posted September 17, 2005 I've been mostly customs for years. Stock guitars hang.
sw686blue Posted September 17, 2005 Posted September 17, 2005 I still have a new Superpro that I am throwing away..... Since you're throwing it away...send it to me. I'll pay the shipping!!!
cmatthes Posted September 17, 2005 Posted September 17, 2005 TonyV:Does that shop still have that Monaco3? If they are motivated to sell, you may be able to pick it up for a reasonable cost. Those are really incredibly cool guitars, but a lot of players will still pull down the Les Paul (or was that a PRS?) or Strat hanging on the wall next to something like that. If you played it, I'm sure it's haunting you! I've had that nagging feeling since the first time I tried one of those, and haven't been that bugged about a new guitar since Stonge "left" a Newport in my hotel room for a week a few years ago...

Wrecks Posted September 17, 2005 Posted September 17, 2005 The top on that guitar is fantastic. If there should be any problems with it--(god forbid)--ya know, a wire not anchored down, or some nut slippage-- is there a Hamer USA certified repair center near the point of sale?I'll call the store tomorrow.
