Another "Hamer of" question: Pocket video recorders

Since the "Hamer of" question has started to pop up again....

What's the Hamer of pocket video recorders?

By that I mean best bang for the buck stuff? The requirements would be:

Easy setup

Good low light performance

Decent audio /video quality, suitable for, say, YouTube type viewing.

The last I looked, the Zoom dealie had great sound but its low light performance was pretty awful. Conversely, a couple of others looked pretty good but had so-so sound.

I'm not interested in taping my phone to a mic stand or something so a separate device is required.

Thanks for bringing this subject up. At our last performance my wife used a RCA something or other and it was terrible. I remember that Jaye posted a couple of vids from his Southern rock band awhile back and the quality was quite good. Maybe he will pipe in about it.

I have never recorded in a dark club or anything, but I've been through a few now.

Q3HD - borrowed for maybe a week - no zoom, low light was poor

LS-20m - better build quality, much better low light - display and control placement are pretty annoying

Currently I have a Q2HD - feels cheaply made, but more functional than the Q3HD despite it's rank in the tier. Low light (at home) is not bad.

Sound quality on all of them is excellent.

What is poor low-light performance? If it's dark in the room, and the picture is dark..... then that's an accurate image, right? :P

I have the Q3HD and I'm satisfied with it for what it is.
