Question

I am considering purchasing this Hamer, but all I can figure out is that it may be an older (90's maybe) MIK SATF. The only thing that's putting me off on buying is there are no identifiable markings except made in Korea.

No serial, no model name/number.

I am grabbing this from a large retailer used for 250 bucks.

Please 'O mighty gurus help me. You're my only hope.

Also is 250 a bit much for this?

That is part of a (very large, actually) run made for GC back in the early 2000s. Possibly 1999, but most of the ones I remember were from 2001-03.

The MIK series is of great quality. I wouldn't say $250 is overpriced. I own a Standard from that period that's loveable.

You might want to consider a pickup change if it is still equipped with stock Duncan Designed pickups.

I had one, it was a fine axe, especially for the money. You may or may not like the Duncan Design pickups, but this is a good player. $250 is about right price wise. Even the Hamer MIK imports are a steal.

The serials on these MIKs usually mean zip! I think MIK Hamers were made at the Cort Factory (my Diablo was in 92-96). Not certain for the later ones tho...
