Kinda looking for a Valvetech

I traded into a Valvetech VAC22 head last year. Recently sold it during a no-job interlude. That's a really fine amp IMO. The most effective master volume I've tried yet. I played mine like a tweed, jumpered the inputs. Along with a Forte 3D cab with a WGS blackhawk 50 speaker, it was a versatile, great sounding stage amp.

Finally got to open it up tonight. Damn what a fine amp. Loud, juicy clean, then hit the boost for a good classic rock crunch without losing the original character. Then hit the old-school Marshall Guv'nor with the gain and level set to give just a hair more stuff, and I'm in Weezer power-chord heaven.

I'd forgotten how LOUD a couple 6v6s can be. Still love my Genz Benz Black Pearl for the Voxless sound, but this amp has cool stuff happening, too.

I'm kind of puzzled as to why these amps are not the darlings of the Gear Page crowd. Too affordable, maybe.

Could also be the lack of a paid cult-of-personality shill like Matte Henderson.

You are being FAR too kind there, Chris!

Yep, that was me you traded it to. I moved it to someone else here. I think it was Caddie.

Pics when I had it.

I would buy that amp in a heartbeat - even with that gawdawful logo! :D

Yeppers. The 2x10 speakers are great if you want to cut through in a two-guitar band. Mids for days yet they have a strong, non-mushy bottom end.

*whimper*, *sniffle* :( . Glad to have sent it to an HFC bro but, man, did I have seller's regret packing it up for shipping!
