What are your favorite places to buy guitar hardware?

I know about stewmac and lmii, and also MF, GC, et al. but where else do you guys buy parts like bridges, tuners, pots, etc.?

The cheapest place I can find, but still high quality.

Mojo is a good one.

and I watch ebay for close outs, over stock.

I know ebay sucks but that's where I look first.

I've used allparts a few times but not any of their own branded stuff that I figure is from china.

Stewmac over charges for shipping and is not always the cheapest but might be the only one to have it in stock when you need it. The last time I ordered a set of Bass tuners from them they sent me a guitar hanger. The box set downstairs for 2 weeks before I even opened it (my own stupidity) but they did make good on it and told me to keep the hanger.

I've never tried it but it seems like amazon sells everything. Or maybe it's just everything my wife needs, I sure seem to take in a lot of packages from them.

There are a couple of brick and mortor guitar stores whos owners are on this board. I would check with them first.

Try your favorite local shop they can probably order whatever part you need and keep the price down to close what the big boy's want. It helps them stay in business plus there more incline to give me a deal on a larger purchase later on. I think more of us need to shop the brick and mortar stores as you can actually get your hands on things you need or want. The price maybe a little higher but you will feel better in the end.

That's of course great advice Carl and veatch.

I was really kind of sad... I went into a favorite shop one time a few years back and asked about ordering a part (replacement pickups for the Taylor electrics) and they were like "just call Taylor, they'll get it to you for the same price or cheaper than we would". I figured esp. since I wasn't saving any money buying new elsewhere, I'd run the purchase through their shop, but they weren't interested.

But I'm being lazy... I'll ping El Duave and see what kind of aftermarket stuff he can order.
