JustKid Posted November 13, 2013 Posted November 13, 2013 In a lot of cases you could feel if the guitar was played a lot or not ( not by the wear and tear). And the one's that were played, have some different qualities to the sound. And actually this one has it. And it doesn't really matter, but it really must've belonged to a professional, and you know it the moment you start playing. She responds to every, even slightest, move of your pick, giving you different harmonics, depending how you handle the the string. BTW, the intonation is also right on.I mean, I can see it in bright yellow, but will not forgive myself if it looses it.

Desert yellow, nuclear yellow or the color Stike painted my Cali- neon Chartreuse- would look kick ass! I hear ya on not wanting to mess with with the mojo, though. I can honestly say that mine was actually enhanced after Stike finished with it. Yeah, okay Mukat had it right before Stike painted it but that's not the point...
rogthefrog Posted November 13, 2013 Author Posted November 13, 2013 What a great sounding guitar !!! Thanks bro! Was thinking about some custom paint, but after playing it...i'm just afraid to lose what it has now. Hey, glad you like the guitar! I'm probably going to regret selling it one day. Love that neck. And it did sound different after the stripping. Better. I'm not sure what the bridge pickup is exactly; I know it's a Seymour Duncan, possibly SH-6. Enjoy!
Feynman Posted November 13, 2013 Posted November 13, 2013 If you refinish that beautiful guitar into some ridiculous Diablo175 scheme, i will never forgive you.
JustKid Posted November 14, 2013 Posted November 14, 2013 WOW !!! That looks awesome. Headstock logo was also re-done?
diablo175 Posted November 14, 2013 Posted November 14, 2013 WOW !!! That looks awesome. Headstock logo was also re-done? Yes. Stike TOTALLY hooked this beauty up.High quality, pro job thru and thru. And the neck finish is is the hidden treasure. He has a special process he uses to effect a satin-like finish that's comparable to the one on my Custom Shop Charvel Star. Just the tits. I'd send all my Cali's to him for the neck finish alone of I could stand to be apart from them and could afford it.
