Double neck Chaparral bass 8/4

Hey there experts,

Does anyone know the whereabouts of what I believe to be a one off black Chaparral body double neck bass in 8 string and 4 string format? There are a couple of old photos of it on the net.

I would be interested in locating that bass.

Also, I'm wondering about a B12L I picked up this year. It is a black Chaparral that is black on black everything. Black Hamer embossed hardware, black Ebony board with black mother of pearl boomerang inlays and unusual ghost shadow HAMER logo in black. It's very sinister looking and one of the coolest basses I've ever seen. Would this be a one of a kind custom order? Serial number puts it in the 1995 year of manufacture.

Let me know on the above two inquiries gents.

Thanks!

Andrew

An HFC'er ("Billybob" - aka Bill Kron) owns/owned a 4/8 Black Chap doubleneck. Not sure if he still does or not.

I'd love to see pics of the Phantom B-12L - that sounds incredibly cool!

With my own 8 string bass I was able to switch between a pick and fingers well enough on one of the songs my band played that there was no need to play on different necks.

That 8/4 has been in my stable for the last few years, via Billy Bob.

The damn roadcase must weigh 100 lbs by itself. :)
