zorrow Posted February 3, 2015 Posted February 3, 2015 ...it KILLS! The booklet has the entire story of how the album was conceived, told by the man himself. The music, well... we know it was already awesome, right? However, these new versions add a lot to the old ones; and even if Klaus doesn't handle the vocals, the man and the lady who took on the vocal duties did a great job. As of Uli goes, he sounds absolutely inspired. His shred chops are in top form, as well as his phrasing, his tone and his melodic ideas. In short, this album is a MUST for we all rock guitar lovers. Do not overlook it, please. Now I'll leave you with a great trailer here. Enjoy! PS: FYI, it's available on Spotify, if you want to check it out before buying.
RobB Posted February 3, 2015 Posted February 3, 2015 Did you get the import version, Ionel? Can you post a link? I was hoping to buy a copy at his show last week but they didn't have any! All they had were some DVDs that looked of sketchy quality.
zorrow Posted February 3, 2015 Author Posted February 3, 2015 Yes, I got the Japanese version, from here: http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/product/MICP-90081
LordsoftheJungle Posted February 3, 2015 Posted February 3, 2015 Thanks for the heads up,,, a lot of my favorite Scorps songs are on there...
Tokyo Tapes Posted February 3, 2015 Posted February 3, 2015 Uli is the King. Without him no Yngwie I'd say. Yngwie has always credited Blackmore as his main influence but I hear more Uli than Blackmore influences in his playing. Uli hasn't really gotten the credit he deserves IMO-
Steve Haynie Posted February 3, 2015 Posted February 3, 2015 Yngwie covered Sails Of Charon on one of his albums, so he has acknowledged Roth as an influence.
