sixesandsevens Posted April 22, 2015 Posted April 22, 2015 This may be a dumb question about loopers: what are the advantages of using a looper instead of using a DAW to create loops? Simply, that it's a quicker and easier set-up? It's silly and philosophical, but my "headspace" changes when I have to take hands off the guitar and start thinking DAW-fu. Loopers let me stay in my music-mind instead of jumping in and out. Also, another great trick with loopers is to use them to dial in your rig. Put the looper into the front of your amp, record a phrase, then go tweak knobs until you get sick of hearing the loop.
