It was purchased new in 1960 by the father of a former classmate. The family has now decided to sell and asked for help. The last time I saw this guitar in person was about 40 years ago. These recent pictures show it to be in pretty decent condition, but I won't get a hands-on look until sometime next week.
I would like to get the family a fair price for it. They seem to run in the $4000-$6000 range. Is there anything I should look for in particular? Any issues that crop up over time? Is there anywhere on the web that might be a better place to advertise it?
