hamerhead Posted July 19, 2015 Posted July 19, 2015 I thought, 'You have a Sustain Block Cali?!?', then realized it was a different thing.A real Sustain Block Cali would be an awesome thing.

Ralph Posted July 20, 2015 Author Posted July 20, 2015 I'm hoping the modding isn't to extensive. Anyone ever done it?
sixesandsevens Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 While I haven't done it, I've seen enough floyds to know the rout will be a little different. A few considerations: - You could probably install the sustainblock on a rosewood shim if its footprint is larger than the Floyd. Maybe not the prettiest, but probably reversible. - They're string through, so the Floyd rout in the back means you might be able to use the back without additional mods But to do it "right" probably means adding a bunch of wood and re-routing. Would be cool though.
diablo175 Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 While I haven't done it, I've seen enough floyds to know the rout will be a little different. Would be cool though. No, it wouldn't. It'd be a crime against all Floydom. Cali's were made to bear Floyds. I'd grudgingly accept a hard tail as a sole alternative to Floyd goodness but only just. Any other trem offering is heresy and should be duly ignored.
