Guest Michael Posted December 25, 2005 Posted December 25, 2005 I found this beauty on the website of my local "vintage" dealer. I'd be trying to wrangle a deal with him myself, but I'm more interested in a Special FM with a big neck, like the one Demented had. Brewmaster Posted December 25, 2005 Posted December 25, 2005 Those AK's are great guitars! I had one in with Rio P-90's that I sold to Jwhitcomb a while back. I had to finance another purchase, and well, GAS got the best of me. So what else is new? Highly recommended. I have played a few of these and every one was a winner.
jwhitcomb3 Posted December 25, 2005 Posted December 25, 2005 Yessiree!I'd suspected that Brewmaster was crazy, but I knew for sure when he let that one go. I bought it from him intending to experiment (evil laugh), but it sounded so good right out of the case that it quickly shot up to become my number one player. Only differences from the one pictured are a jazzburst finish and Rio Grande pickups. It covers so much ground and sounds good playing everything. If it weren't for a couple of songs in our set that require a floating tailpiece and one with alternate tunings I could play an entire gig with it!I really can't say enough about this guitar, or what a good guy Brew is to deal with.-Jonathan
BadgerDave Posted December 26, 2005 Posted December 26, 2005 Agreed.I have one with a set of Lollar P-90s and it slays most of my pretty guitars. The asking price is a bit high, though. Those sell regularly on eBay in the $850 neighborhood.
JohnnyThunders Posted December 26, 2005 Posted December 26, 2005 How about a Korina Artist, no f-hole, P-90s and wraptail Bridge with Lollar P-90s and a big neck? I like it! Big sound no squeally feedback when you turn it up.

Big sound no squeally feedback when you turn it up. Would that be considered a chambered Studio? Either way, sounds nice. The Artist in this thread is no doubt a sweet guitar. I love mine (with humbuckers). But the price is a bit more than the norm. Not that it isn't worth every penny.
