gwayne Posted March 21, 2005 Posted March 21, 2005 There's been a lot of interest here lately in WCR pickups. Here's a shot of his Crossroads set in double cream. I really like the look and they sound fantastic. Jim at WCR is as good as they get. After a couple of phone calls with him I decided on the Crossroads set. I received these within a week of ordering. Thanks to Jisham for technical support. p.s. in the background is my newest amp, a '68 Super Reveb
Guest pirateflynn Posted March 21, 2005 Posted March 21, 2005 Looks great! Sounds great too, I'm sure. I have Crossroads in my '80 Special and Darkbursts in my '79 Sunburst. I love those guitars and the WCR's are an excellent match!
gwayne Posted March 21, 2005 Author Posted March 21, 2005 Gorgeous! What flavor of Monaco is that? Thanks. This is a chambered Elite in BCR Burst, now called Darkburst (I think).
JES1680 Posted March 21, 2005 Posted March 21, 2005 Nice, I've got WCR's in two of my Hamers. Great pickups.
unfun 75 Posted March 21, 2005 Posted March 21, 2005 I like that look! Will someone compare the WCR's to the JB/59 setup? Thanks.
phoenix Posted March 21, 2005 Posted March 21, 2005 Congrats on the amp too. It sounded great. I'm about to demo Seymour's new pedal booster pedals to see if I can push over my old Fenders at lower volumes. steve
jisham Posted March 21, 2005 Posted March 21, 2005 Gary: The double creams ended up looking fantastic in the guitar! I told you Jim was as cool as they come and you now know how great his pickups are. I basically won't use anything other then WCR pickups any more and can't wait to get the Fillmores I ordered last Thursday for my new Standard Custom.
gwayne Posted March 21, 2005 Author Posted March 21, 2005 Heck, let's see that amp. '68 super? SirDan, It's a '68 and completely original except for the caps under the "dog house". Sounds great and takes pedals wonderfully. This is the first Fender amp I've ever liked.
