  1. This is V2.0 of my parts Tele. Fat Warmoth neck, Barden bridge, 10% underwound Fralin P90 in the neck and a Fralin Broadcaster in the bridge. Been my number one for so long I'm selling a lot of other guitars.
  2. Thanks guys. It's not quite as good as the CS USA Special that I scored for $250 last year, but it seems like I did okay. The body has some dents and dings, but I'll live with it. I'm hoping I can learn to get along with a Floyd again - been awhile since I had one. I've been playing a bunch of Telecasters lately so this is going to be a big adjustment.
  3. Yeah the neck is really what sold me on it honestly. looks awesome. i know these guitars aren't really in style now - especially with my 20-something age group - but damn if I don't love them.
  4. Not sure what the market is for these, but I just bought one! I remember selling my red reverse-headstock maple fretboard '92 on here maybe 4 or 5 years ago for 375-ish. I saw that this one had been sitting on Reverb for a long time, being sold by a big shop somewhere. It started at 725, he had gone down to 525. Shot them a lowball $400 offer, and he unexpectedly accepted. Is that about the going rate? I really liked my last one either way, even if I paid a bit too much.
  5. Somebody got a sweet deal...tooooo bad it wasn't me
  6. Coincidentally, I have T-shirts older than me, too.
  7. I don't even know (or care, before you send me a link) what that is. It's bad enough that kids have free reign and access to the Internet, and in too many cases without any supervision what-so-ever, but now they have a geometrically expanding network on which they can share all of the perversions that they have discovered with eachother. This and the gangsta rap mentality are going to make us all very sorry when this generation gets to be "of age" and gives birth to a generation of their own. Not to sound too much like the Matre de at Chez Quis, but "I weep for the future." Somebody is jealous he didn't have internet porn when he was 13, maybe? I have a facebook and a myspace. I don't have a gangsta rap mentality. My generation has not invented materialism, porn, anal sex, alcohol, marijuana, psychadelic drugs, bondage, drunk driving, oral sex, cocaine, heroin, communism, death, poverty, social security, AIDS, the atomic bomb, or rock and roll. Free widespread access to information and networking will probably not be that bad. Lumping an entire group of people (this 'next generation') into a negative stereotype, however, has not been historically great. www.facebook.com
  8. youtube is good to see how such and such person actually played it. for notation there is no substitute for www.powertabs.net, as already mentioned, i think.
  9. I'll have my lowly P90 special until death, for sure, but that's not to say I don't play and lust after other guitars.
  10. that stanley cat has some crazy dance moves.
  11. I've had an eye out for that exact same kinda thing for a couple of years now. They come up every once in awhile...stay the course and ye shall be rewarded
  12. Dude can wail. The 'prince' shaped guitar sounded good, but the Floyded strat was my fav. Really liked the song selection, too.
  13. I haven't seen one of these threads in awhile. Sometimes it's good to remind ourselves that we do more with these guitars than talk about them online and take pretty pictures of them.
  14. I'm only 21 and I'm already AMEN-ing that, amigo.
