Please advise and thank you very much.

I believe it may be a Special FM, but I am very probably incorrect.

I've been told the pups may not be original.

If I buy the guitar I will want to restore the pups to original.

Can you advise as to what they were originally or recommend a set for blues?

PLEASE AND THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

Blessings,

Westley

It's just a link to your FB page - do you have any pics of the guitar you're talking about?

My apologies, I posted pics on the FB page, as pictures of the guitar were too large to post here.

The only Hamer visible in any of your photos to anyone not following or friends with you is a Hamer P90 Special.

Looks like a Special FM from the 1990's.  Aftermarket pickups probably...

Agree.  The first digit of the serial number will narrow it down more.  If it's 4, then a '94, and so forth.

Originally the pickups would have been Seymour Duncan JB in the bridge and '59 in the neck, no?

For blues people often look for "less hot" pickups, so some flavor of PAF from any of a multitude of makers could be considered.

I had one of those and foolishly sold it. Well, not foolishly... it went toward another Hamer. But it was a great guitar.

It was a '93 with a pretty thin neck. I just had (and still have) a lot of other mahogany/maple/2 humbucker/24.75" scale guitars. Decided to let it go in the name of diversity.

Did you end up getting it???

Here's the one I used to have...
