AVR / Home Theater Power Cables

No, I don't want to know the differences between a $5 and $5000 power cord, so please fight the urge to share your opinion on them.

I have two components with these types of power connectors:

I'm squeezing them into a fairly confined space (heat won't be a problem) and would like to find right-angle cables to save any space I can.  I need the two-wire connection shown below on the left, in the right-angle style shown below on the right.  Any suggestions?

Can I use the three-wire cable?  If I do, should I Bobbitt the male side of the ground?

Left AND right...

Also if you want to feel like you're doing the right audio thing... you can get shielded power cords (the shielding is to cut down on noise coming FROM your amp/BluRay player etc's switching power supply and affecting your audio cables signals). Great for guitar amps too. No right or lefties though.

Get the #14AWG  down lower on the page.
