THIS GUITAR IT IS UP FOR SALE serial # 554065 for a good amount of cash. Anyone know the history of the guitar? It looks like to my inexperience eyes there may be an area to the neck with some type of repair? Hameritis?

 No mention of damage at the time. I don't see it on ebay.

I was wondering why the previous HFC thread mentioned a Brazilian board, but that's how it was advertised at the time. It also said it had a COA. The current ad mentions neither. I would hope whoever had it in the interim didn't lose the COA. Plus all the CITES bullshit could get even more annoying someday without it.

I guess you could make them an offer. They are taking a 10% hit through ebay, so another 10% below that might be a good starting point.

Is your concern that dark spot on the side of the fretboard above the neck joint? I'm kinda wondering about that too.

I lived in the San Jose area in the '80s and remember Guitar Showcase very well, and visited there a couple of times. They had a pretty impressive collection of used and vintage gear. I just followed the link to the store's website, however, and that Korina Standard is nowhere to be found (or any Hamer, for that matter).
