Best Glue for "Fuzzy" amplifier covering?

I've got a few (actaully a lot) of Carvin bass amps, and they used this black fuzzy covering called "duratuff" that was pretty common until recently. I've got some areas where it's starting to fall off around the seam, and I'd like to glue it back in place to keep it from spreading further.  However, the material is somewhat porous, unlike tolex, so I'm not sure if the same type of glue would work. I'd be worried it would just get absorbed into the fuzz, and not actually glue anything.

Any suggestions?

I'd probably use a regular wood or craft glue. Is there a material overage inside one of the cabs that can be torn off and tested on scrap wood?

Whatever the glue, I'd use a small paint roller to apply the glue both sparingly thin and uniformly. A random mix of gluey seeping globs and no glue at all and that's where you're gonna run into back-end problems. If the areas are too small to use a roller feasibly, I'd use a paint or sponge brush.

Better known as rat fur.

I think contact cement was the original adhesive used on these but I'm not sure how well that will work on fixing lifted seams.

I do have contact cement. The hard part though is not saturating the ozite with it.
