gorch
Question for electronics experts. I have just finished the DYOC wah kit that has a few trim pots to dial in sound of taste and I'm wondering, what does the Q resistor do in the wah circuit? killerteddybear
My ancient brain remembers that "Q" is the width of the filter effect. High Q is a narrow filter (restricted set of frequencies passing) and low Q is a broad filter (most frequencies passing). For real excitement, put a potentiometer in place of the fixed resistor and try different settings as you rock the wah pedal.

gorch
Great, thanks! For real excitement, it’s a potentiometer already. It’ll need a third hand to set up while rocking though.
