Jack Blades 8 String Bass in blue is UP

I am sure you guy's know what this is and I am not sure how to load photo's to a thread. So I will have some good shots tonight I can email if anyone is honestly interested.

I had Al Pep fix me up with this Bass this past year. It is still dead on Mint. and has only been played a few times. Hate to sell, I paid a giant bundle of money for it and it the 8 string bass of my dreams I just can't afford to keep it anymore. Hamer far surpassed any of my high expectations for this bass. What a factory and crew these guy's must be this thing is a work of art! If you have seen one of these basses you'll know what I mean. I had the Matched Tiger Maple top & back in the indiglo blue, tone chambered, active pickups, 32" scale so it does not drop so much. MOP inlayed headstock. Best Dam bass I have ever owned.

Custom orders are expensive I paid nearly $3000.00 I will let this one go for $2500.00 I want to sell this, but it is rare enough and unique enough that I plan to keep it in here as a Hamer fan club deal only. If things change and I need to sell faster I will put it up on the auction block but think this deserves to be bought by someone in here first. I might consider a partial trade toward this bass?? but very partial, no more than $500 worth. Sorry I need the cash. Hows this for my first post! Jumped in with a big Bang!

Nice site by the way looks like Hamer has come a long way. Lots of people in this forum. Makes sense I guess, great guitars make great Fans!

That's a big bang, indeed! Welcome aboard.

I'd love to see that one. "Shrimpfork" or Scroll headstock on that one?

Duzzit look like this? This one isn't chambered (if it was, the headstock would be permanently affixed to the floor!)-ebony board, matching top and back, personalized headstock, the first medium scale 8 string, Rio Pitbulls. Awesome bass.

Hey Thats it. Nice ain't it? Yeah Shrimp fork but I have the plastic pickup surrounds that match the body binding and no chrome covers on my pickups they remain black.

Yeah the chamber makes it light on the body end but put a small clip on my strap that hooks to my belt by my lower right back. This works great for the heavy headstock basses keeps the strap from riding up and the headstock from diving. I love the sounds from the tone chambers. would not give them up.

I am hoping someone in here may really want a bass like this who will play it more than I. I will let it hang for a time perhaps bump it up and then off to Ebay it will go. I think I am posting this at a realistic price. I do not want to scare anyone away. These do actually cost this much.

I also had the headstock MOP inlayed but I did not personalize it It says Hamer USA. always figured if I ever sold it or my kids sold it no one would want my name on there?? It is great when your the owner though.

Serial; Is the camera playing a trick on me or are your strings a little out of shape as they cross the last fret?? Must be the angle or something?? Have to go look at mine to see if mine look like this as well??

The Pitbulls were done aftermarket-I hate the EMGs in the multistring basses-makes them sound too harsh to my ears. The Rios are much warmer, while still punchy and not at all brittle like the EMGs were. Good souls-how much are these listing for now though? I know that there's been a price increase or three since I had mine done in '02. Glad I got mine when I did. I'd thought about getting a 12ver down the line, but at those prices, the 8'll do me just fine.

The medium scale is a perfect blend on these though-the punch of the longer scale and the ease of play of the short scales. Thanks to BroChris for that idea-he really got the ball rolling and thanks to BCRGreg for making them happen!

I'll Email anyone photo's... I think I mentioned I do not know how to put shots in the threads?? There are shots of this one in another Hamer Site I found but that one has the photo load option right on the reply page so that one is easy. My Bass is real similiar to the Blue 8 string posted previously. Besides I figure if someone is interested enough to spend more than $2000.00 on a Bass they will be interested enough to just email me for photo's..

I Wanted this to sell right in here but this bass is real costly and if an interesting trade and cash deal does not come up or an outright offer or /????? does not come up, then it will go the less dignified way of the internet auction??

Odd; I sent two photo's out to two other guys?? Try rldecker@frontiernet.net

My Mall has been pretty good since I started using these guy's?

Ohh Man thanks! I am such a dino with the computers I really just do not know how to do this! It is a great Bass by the way. I sure wish someone had a perfect trade with cash for me.

No worries though It is expensive and sometimes these do not sell the first times they run.

We'll see?? Wish me luck.

It has to go Money is tied up in too many instruments and not enough of the equipment I need to make it all work.

Hey guy's I still want to sell this one...Just wanted you to be sure this web site members see this and get a shot at it before it goes. ?? Not sure if it will hit the reserve of $2250.00 but I am hoping someone will bump it at least close?? Believe me this is the nicest guitar I have ever owned and a dam shame to have to sell because of limited finacial resources for more band equipment. THis bass and the few others like it do not come up for sale (ever) as far as I know on ebay???? so thanks for the interest so far and I am totally acurate with my reserve price. If it goes for that you have to admit this would be quite a steal. Randy

OK Guy's I tried it... It did not sell I know everyone likes a good deal.. Well I have now reduced my buy it now and my reserve. I am also making you guys an offer in here. I'll take $1850 for this bass and end the auction. Hows that??? That happens to be $1000.00 less than I paid for it 6 months ago. You won't find a better deal than that right. Anyone wnats it let me know before I get some bids this makes it easier for me to end it. If it does not sell this time I guess I'll keep it right here and sell other guitars. I'll let my kids sell it 40 years from now for $10,000. So I guess I can actually say; this is a once in a life time offer. Not a lot of these for sale. none at this price.

Randy

None of these for sale. Not at any price other than yours. These are great basses and that's a killer price. Damn.

I know this is an expensive bass but I just can't believe there is not more than two guy's in either of these Hamer fan clubs that do not see this is one heck of a deal. I am willing to take $1850.00 for this bass. and end the auction.. That is In fact $1000 less than I paid. Now that is a great deal. I just can't imagine anyone who bought this would not make money on a bass like this someday. Perhaps I was not correct in my thinking that Hamer guitars have the resale value?? I thought they did? I have had two emails about possibly buying this for my price. Then no response back?? I will let it go to the first guy who has $1850.00 If it does not go when the auction is over on Friday... I'll start selling some of the old Guns I have not already sold.. to generate cash to do what I need. I hate to let it go anyway. Just thought I'd let this group keep this in mind and offer this opertunity here. I think the one guy who is after it, is a dealer who wants it for his rack of expensive hamers. He told me this is a little less than his price from Hamer to have one made.... And no it's Not Al..... Bet you'll see a price tag of around $3000.00 when it hits his wall. and that's a shame but that's the way it is. Don't let this one get away. I need to sell it and you'll not have another one for sale like this for a long time. Remember if you have a Roland PK 5 pedal with the AC power and a midi cable setting around I'll take $350 bucks off the bass for it. I would also like a nice used but very good older synth for rush sounds. an old Korg MS 2000 or something like this in the $450 range. Thanks

Well now that was a crazy couple a days It is now sold. At least the check is in the "overnight" Mail tomorrow. Don't get much better than that. Glad to see it is going to someone who will play this bass and play it often! Thanks again all. Randy
