Nocturnal Posted December 19, 2021 Posted December 19, 2021 HAMER FBIV FOR SALE: Offering my 1986 Hamer FBIV up for sale. Super rare bass in a rare sunburst finish. This is not the typical Hamer FBIV. The electronics layout is more like a Blitz bass with a more standard PJ setup (rather than reversed P pickups) and a vol-vol-tone 3 knob layout. This has the longer headstock like on an earlier Blitz or Cruise bass. Currently loaded with EMG Geezer Butler PJ pickups but could change it to regular EMG’s if you prefer them. Neck is 1 5/8” wide at the nut. Chrome hardware. Weighs around 9.5 lbs but is very comfortable to play and perfectly balanced. It is a pound lighter than my black FBIV. Has Dunlop Straplocks but someone added an extra strap button on the upper horn/shoulder. There is a Straplock button at the neck heel. It was not in the picture. Fresh set of strings. Has one tiny chip in the finish that you have to look for. The truss rod cover say “Boog” and I was told that Boog was friends with Jol and Paul and he ordered several custom basses and guitars over the years. I was told there were only two sunburst FBIV’s ever made, but one of the experts would need to confirm this and the “Boog” story. Regardless of the story, this is a rare custom version of an already rare bass. Comes with an original Hamer hard case that has been well used (The toles is not in great condition) but it protects the bass as it should. I will add additional pictures later. This bass is in very good condition and sounds fantastic. I am asking $3600 plus shipping OBO (Probably about $125 since it will be a larger box) and I am NOT looking for trades.
