Either they're trying to intimidate anybody/everybody else from bidding, or just hoping that no one else does...just because the highest bidder has the top three bids doesn't mean that they're all not just the minimum amount for each bid. It's an old trick, and there's only way to find out in the end, by bidding. Just my two cents, I don't have a dog in this hunt; and of course, YMMV.

crunchee Posted March 16, 2023 Author Posted March 16, 2023 I think I'm getting old...twenty years ago, I woulda chased after this bass for sure; nowadays, having something with forty-plus years of unknown wear and tear on it doesn't appeal to me. Kinda sounds like my potential dating profile, if I still wanted to put up with that hassle.
