holLoWskull Posted March 24, 2023 Posted March 24, 2023 I've got a 96 T-51F that's under 8 lbs. on a digital scale that would be accurate enough for a drug dealer 😂 think the 93-95 models may have produced a few more hefty examples due to the ash bodies vs the later alder bodies? FYI, the saddles on the T-51F Fishman Powerbridge seem to love to cause string breakage. I replaced mine with Graphtech Ghost saddles (Wilkinson style) and ended the broken string blues.

BruceM Posted March 28, 2023 Posted March 28, 2023 I've owned at least 6 of them, and they varied in weight from boat anchor to fairly light. The seafoam one I had for 10 years or so was very heavy, but I never weighed it, as was the one I bought recently from Tom. The one I kept is a T-51f that weighs 7lb 3oz on my kitchen scale. I know of one I had years ago that was lighter, but I sold it to a band member. I still see it and hear him play it occasionally. It's a black T-51 with white pickguard. I'll have to see if I can get it back. He's got two.
