Is there any kind of an audible difference when you have the Gibson Fender mismatch between strings and pick up poles?

Probably not but I'm looking for one solely for the purpose of having more fretboard real-estate on both E strings

I had one on an Ibby Iceman project I did years and years ago. For the added cost I didn't really detect and significant improvement in function. I think a lot of it's appeal was the more comfy palm rest area as the mini-tuners were moved out of the way.

Well, I found out that it's NOT a drop on replacement on existing surface mount Floyd's as the shape underneath will not allow it... bummer, back to the drawing board... maybe the Kahler Killers?bs3Nja9.jpeg

I think you just need a good 1/2" shim for the neck.  🤣

I have a G-spaced Screamin' Demon in a Centaura, and I'm not convinced there's an audible difference. But my OCD has me wanting to swap it for a proper F-spaced unit. Lol.

And even then, the difference you hear "if any" may just be the new pickup 🤔
