diablo175 Posted August 5, 2023 Posted August 5, 2023 Okay technically, it's a powered speaker but it sure sounds and feels like a full on tube amp! Nice full, throaty roar. Plenty of volume capability and it feels like it's pushing air. Needs a bit of EQ adjustment because contrary to it's description it is NOT quite a flat response amp. Has a good deal of mid range. Luckily you can tweak both the settings on the amp and on the Axe Fx 3. But MOST importantly, it's got cool blue LEDs in it and it's tall enough that I can set my beer down on it.

princeofdarkness56 Posted August 5, 2023 Posted August 5, 2023 I’m so far behind the curve on modern amp technology. I’m from the day of at least a half stack and having to crank it to get a decent distortion out of it. It looked cool but it was a serious inconvenience if you were an everyday basement dweller and player. These small, lighter amps with a bevy of different sounds is very intriguing to me. And seriously, they come with blue LEDs these days ? How can you not like it ? Put me down for 2.
