Armitage Posted April 6, 2006 Posted April 6, 2006 How much difference in weight is there between plastic tuner buttons covered in a micron of chrome plate and ebony ones?
unfun 75 Posted April 6, 2006 Author Posted April 6, 2006 How much difference in weight is there between plastic tuner buttons covered in a micron of chrome plate and ebony ones? That's a good question and I was skeptical at first, too. When the ebony buttons came in the mail, I removed the nickel ones and held them in one hand and the ebony buttons in the other hand and I'd say there was a few ounces of difference. The few ounces was enough to make a difference. The guitar felt headstock-heavy with the nickel buttons and balanced with the ebony buttons. I was pleased.
unfun 75 Posted April 9, 2006 Author Posted April 9, 2006 Hi, could you tell me the weight ? I don't have a scale here at the house so give me until Monday when I can weigh it at work. Thanks.
savethematches Posted April 9, 2006 Posted April 9, 2006 unfun, is this the same Studio you got from me? If so, I can verify the quality of this instrument. This guitar would've NEVER left my possession if it weren't for a series of unexpected life occurences. Whoever gets this should love it. Also, a +1 for unfun 75. Our transaction went smoothly.

jrw32 Posted April 28, 2006 Posted April 28, 2006 Hello. My name is Jake. I'm a Hamerholic. I don't even have the guitar yet & I'm already proud of it! I'm sure it'll be sweet, it'll be the 4th Hamer I've had (5th if you can't the 92 Sunburst that arrived broken at my door a month ago!) Something always draws me back to Hamers, I can't detach myself from 'em! I used to hang out/post a lot more back on the old forum & have recently been getting back into it as time permits. Looking forward to the gtr (thanks John!) & to talking w/ all of you soon! Jake Williams www.suntired.com
savethematches Posted April 28, 2006 Posted April 28, 2006 You'll love it for sure. I miss it quite frequently . . . Be sure to baby it, and if you ever decide to sell it, post it here first.
