What size frets does Hamer use?

I am getting a tele neck and I want to use the same size frets that are on my Hamers. What size frets are they? (I have a newport, Artist, Eclipse and Jr. and they all seem to be about the same sized frets.)

I'd say 6150: regular jumbo. I have 6105s on my MCS Templar Scythe:

...and they are definitely more narrow & taller than those on all of my Hamers. Of course, my newest one is a 1992 Centaura, so maybe they've moved to the smaller fretwire since then.

Just got the fret size from Hamer. Here is what they said......

"Our fretwire is .050 X .100, medium oval."

Hamer fret wire is some custom blend that is much harder than standard Dunlop fret wire. I refretted using official Hamer fret wire and it was almost as tough as stainless steel fret wire. At one time Jol explained that Hamer had a special metal mix for more durability.

Has hamer always used this size, or what? The frets on my different Hamer's feel different...could just be the age and wear...

So what size does that equate to? 6105? 6150? OU812?

Is that really true about the custom metal blend on the frets? I mean, Hamer frets are better than anyone elses frets - even the custom boutique guitar builders - McNaught, Huber, Suhr, Melancon? Or, does everyone supposedly have their own custom metal blend? I'm not trying to sound too cynical as I do seem to get excellent longevity on Hamer frets but just curious about it.

Stewart MacDonald 0154 fret wire is .050 x .100.

You can harden fret wire by radiusing it and straightening it a few times before putting a final radius on it. That will make it harder to bend, but I am not so sure about how it will wear.
