  2. That's terrible. I feel so bad for her and those she left behind. I've had some seemingly hopeless moments and they were awful. I can't even imagine how bad it must have to be to really end it. I wish there was a way to feel the love that's hiding out there without having to ask for it. To hear that supporters came pouring out of the woodwork right afterwards seems all too typical for suicides. If only there was a way to have access to that love "in time".

  3. Fret jobs to die for: Step 1: radius the board making sure the neck is straight and properly supported to prevent it from flexing Step 2: sand the board without screwing up the radius Step 3: install frets using hand press to ensure proper sitting ( every board has different density ) Step:4 check your frets Step 5: a quick level and a polish There are many steps prior to these, and if you have to reach for the crowning tools ....... well, they are for repairs.

  5. He could do it. He just has too fill out a spreadsheet with all the custom specs the customer wants. Then he gives Newman60 a copy. Then Newman60 puts it in with the other ones currently in progress. He orders wood and I order parts all the time and nobody says BOO! They are sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo busy with getting Guild on track that you could order a DuotoneCcustom with a dick spraying cum all over the room and they wouldn't notice. 9. The first prototype was finished in June 1999. There was a second prototype in 2002 and the first production one came out in September 2003. There was almost no tooling to make them, so they had to be handmade.

  11. You know, it's probably a good thing that when I asked about Hamer making shredders they said no. I would've gladly paid out for a Watson. By the time they had changed their mind I was married and dropping that kind of coin was strictly verboten Wait, no, it's not a good thing. I still wish I had a Watson!!Those are one of my favorite, all hand made. Thanks Greg Someone please buff off the Seymour Duncan name! Bm

  12. PRS was a genius. Just like Geico, when they came on the scene they absolutely overloaded with advertisement. Every other fucking video you saw early on MTV had a PRS in it. KMC always advertised Hamer like it was advertising the Pope. One of Fender's first moves when it bought KMC was to tell the Hamer dealers that they were not shipping to them anymore. The first move Fender made when they bought Guild in Westerly was to stop the production of the Pilot Bass. The Pilot Bass was #3 on the US sales chart right behind Fender. Nice ha. Fucking Evil Empire. Bm

  13. Now that is a real five neck! None of that pussy, smoke and mirrors all in one five neck shit. Buy fucking five Hamers instead of being a fucking cheap bastard and putting them all in one. Oh I'm sorry, was I out of line? Eat me (Say while coughing). Bm

  18. It was a good day, almost a good old times day for me and Newme. Too bad it only lasted four hours, but we got a lot of stuff done.

  19. If you mean the workshop blog, it has been stagnant forever. Somebody should close it or at least change it. I forgot about that picture. I think when I wore that shirt that day, fender hadn't bought Guild yet and moved it out here. I like the pictures of me with no side shots of my nose! Bm

  20. Working on the five neck ( like any of Rick's guitars ) was a blast. There were a lot of chalenges and few of them solved by doing this.

  21. Newme, I have some pics. I have to get them all together. Someone should clean that vacuum press.Oh wait, don't bother "THEY"got it.

  22. 22 frets, times each side of the board, times five necks, equals cleaning 220 fret sections. Plus he wanted banjo tuners. Plus buffing it alone. Plus not getting laid. Wow. Bm

  25. Another day's run was coming out. That would fill the bottom. The upper section was left open for taller models, and ones that were not moving right away. They also needed to be grouped together to keep track of the drying times. It also made it easier to order parts and lay out labor. Plus, the Hamer 4108 finish dries like a rock, so you could run back and forth with your hand, slapping them together and they wouldn't dent. Also, when they are closer together, the impact distance is smaller, so the force is a lot less than if they were wider apart. Plus it is a shorter distance to the ground if one fell than if it was on top. Other than that, I don't have an answer. Bm

  29. I suggest contacting sales at Fender and mentioning that you heard from a bird that a dealer had cancelled a custom order and to check with New Hartford to see if it is still in stock. Like I said, I haven't physically seen it in a while but I did ask recently if it was still up there and they said they are pretty sure it is (Nice communication. I think so, I'm pretty sure). It's a good thing this isn't a hospital. Is that the brain? I think so. Good luck! Bm
