  1. Mr. Logic...he's a pain in the arse. Since when exactly does logic factor into guitar buying/selling?
  2. The Soapbar22, DGT and CU22/12 are the only PRS guitars I've been stirred by in the last 15+ years - and I LIKE PRS guitars. I am in the factory at least once or twice a year, and am always checking things out, but those are the only ones that I'd consider buying because they're just so damned nice. I need to stop clicking on this thread.
  3. ^^ Ditto. Somebody needs to buy it now and then sell it to me in a year or two. :D
  4. I am out of town again this week, but sent pics to the first responder. I have not heard back from him in several days, but also have had limited PM and email access for the last couple of weeks. Still there...
  5. Here are some pics I took of #0004 in Rockford last year:
  6. It got the "relic" treatment Elduave did not request. Somehow, he still speaks to me...
  7. Actually, I dropped it a while before that! Photo shoot on a windy day...not always a good idea. I don't know whether I threw up or crapped myself or both when that happened.
  8. Just because it sounds good through headphones in the bedroom or basement does not mean that'll translate well at gig volumes/with a band!
  9. If his tone sucks that badly, just make him ditch the Heritage (or Carvin) he's playing. :D
  10. That's Elduave's old Rocketeria "Zandard" at a gig we played 8 years ago.
  11. At the beach for a week. I can't get PMs on my phone!
  12. There's a nice write up (with pics) of it in the second volume of the Robb Lawrence Les Paul book.
  13. Justkid - Gibson DID do a small run of 50 LP CUSTOMS as 25th Anniversary Models in Silver (not Silverburst), but those were for GC only and were done in late 1978. I still don't believe that this was a 1977 Gibson "Anniversary" Model (as originally stated by the OP) for many reasons, including several that you mentioned.
  14. Beautiful guitar!
  15. Vee body is SOLD! Thanks much, and looking forward to seeing how this one gets finished up by somebody with focus and a plan!
  16. What fucking IDIOT would think that was a Chinese copy? Let me guess...TGP commenters? They think EVERYTHING is a Chinese fake.
  17. I'm not a big bumper, but thought I'd dig this one out of the woods. Just dropped the price on the Vee body. The Korina Thinline body has been sold. I'll put up pics of the Korina body blank traced from one of my 4-digit Standards and the optional maple top billet later tonight if there's any interest in that...it was going to become a cool Mandocello or something originally.
  18. Ha ha ha ha ha!!!!!
  19. The Shishkov Guitars site got moved to a new server by the host yesterday. It is supposed to be much higher performing, etc., but took the site down temporarily. It should be up and fully running by now.
  20. I thought that the TRC change was more about not aping Gibson and more forging a different identity for the brand. They changed to the "suppository" TRC in the mid '80s, and went through several changes in the 90s before settling on the one the ended up with at the end. I'm sure Frank U. Or Jol could answer that for sure.
  21. The headstock has been refinned. That is NOT an original logo. It's kind of a messed up one - the fonts are all wrong.
  22. No. I had a 1990 and a '95 that were featherweights. They didn't chamber until a decade later.
