  1. No haven't gotten it yet, but want to. the content was awesome. Seeing/hearing the octa stuff live was great. And the orchestra was a groovy touch. I thought JP was actually looking a little buff. Maybe pumping up the guns. The flame maple signature was too beautiful. Six degrees was great. Setlist was great. I KNOW it would've been better to be there for real.
  2. Hit: for the song selection, execution, and performance w/ and w/out orchestra. Johns prototype signature guitar LOOKED fab. sounded exactly like his regular sig. I wanted to see this concert so bad. Miss: LaBrie is FAT. jeez. he can still sing well, but the image is gone. Sound quality on this DVD is TOO good; in a bad way. Sounds too flat like a board feed on everything. Still a buy for fans. Included alot of footage for $17 (amazon). JP is still wicked. All the rest of them are aging well. Myung kicks, Portnoy is unreal.
  3. mister Black Bart is COMIN home!
  4. you spect anyone will think you're credible with an avatar like that? A Dan Snyder wannabee?
  5. I'm in serious mourning. Everything was perfect for this wknd. My whole family was going for a girls wknd....UNTIL... My daughter had to hang back because she didn't want to miss practice on the the first wk (swim team). So it was me and her on a daddy/daughter all wknd. It was great that she still wants to do that (14 y/0). I enjoyed myself alot with her. But I felt REALLY, REALLY bad for not being able to come. You guys looked MARVELOUS! I have to be careful about taking these parties for granted. I used to think the MUSE CAFE would be there forever too. Jeff, I feel bad man. Wanted to eat that food...BAD! later No excuses in October.
  6. I spent 45 hours with MC in a vehicle and believe every word of what he says.
  7. C'est tres bien mon ami. Il est beaucoup d'impressiv. Comment qualite de son? Vive Le HAMER USA!
  8. "my ears are getting "older" - I prefer 6L6 amps now that are more versatile for gigs." did your ears get younger now?
  9. I either HAD or WANT a hit of acid after that 17 minutes.... sounds great!
  10. i keep getting an error
  11. MCChris hasn't chimed in on this thread. The silence is deafening
  12. I thought it would be losing my mind. But if I did that, it wouldn't matter (to me). Being lonely is right up there. Fearing disease is #1. Working where I work you realize the possibilities are endless.
  13. well? Even the HFC teens have to be thinking about this...
  14. I'm giving Greg my vote because he has humorical longevity and consistency on his side, and I've have spit on my monitor more from him then anyone. And a split vote for Badger and MCC because for HFC VI I had to endure their humor for 2x20 hour car trips in one wknd.
  15. organic raging tone that cuts through the mix. I love the 2x10 config alot. I won't part with my VAC. I've kept mine as original; the old design. I'm like MCChris, I'm nervous to change it cuz it sounds so friggin great.
  16. Mine is a '59. I sold it earlier this yearfor around $7K. The chipboard alligator case sold for $750!!!!!! Great guitars, but I believe the market is about topped out. Of course I could be kicking myself in a few years. you...were a FOOL to sell that guitar. I have never said that about ANY of your sales. But you WILL regret letting that one go. That guitar was perfect in every way. It friggin' ripped. Fool.
  17. must have one of each... a well rounded collection will include a humbucker artist and a p90 version and an all single coil tele/strat
  18. I hope to hell you mean PRE lawsuit Metallica. Those morons posing as Metallica now are hopeless. ON that list, TRICK. On my list... 1,2,3,4: Zep, Queen, Beatles, Coral Reefers
  19. He looks like some secret service guy markin' you to take you down.
  20. Digitech GNX4 has been out on the town alot. With her friend the EV powered monitor. The Fender, Vox, Marshall and VAC have their place though.
  21. This has been my experience as well. A former HFC member once made the analogy that playing a ss amp is like jumping up and down on concrete, while playing a tube amp is like jumping up and down on a mattress. I concur with that. A tube amp breathes, pushes and pulls and thus is more challenging to play. Plus, as others have said, tubes simply sound better to me. wolfy?
  22. We have the same dilemma in radiology. We still rely heavily on an invention from the 19th century even in todays "modern" silicon dominated world. The x-ray vacuum tube was invented in 1895 and hasn't been replaced yet. Good things happen in a vacuum. When you have a CT scan, there are 6 vacuum tubes spinning around you.
  23. I'm more then happy I missed all that lame crap you guys we're doing and got to groove to a REAL DJ at the wedding I was at. GEEZZZZ! Superb time missed by me . I won't know what to do this spring as MWJ is usually a rite-of-passage. Looking forward to the MP3s. Groove on guys/gals
  24. Better not let all your PENN ST. friends know that..
  25. bullrip! Dave fronts all his auctions from Aisa to avoid prosecution.
