  1. I use peanut butter, smooth not crunchy. Poe taught me that trick.
  2. DAMN I MISS THE 80'S!!!!! Me too, that's why my Floyd-equipped guitars are getting the most play time lately. And in the CD player lately: Dokken, Ratt, Belladonna-era Anthrax and Skolnick-era Testament.
  3. Serious SS collection there. That crowned 1B SS and the Mony Mony are mean axes.
  4. Thirded.
  5. The Proctavia is the one, I regret selling mine. I've been shot down on bids on eBay trying to replace the one I've sold. If you can't do what you want to with it, PM me and I'll take it off your hands if the price is right.
  6. Way too much work. You probably don't like these either...too many knobs 'n' switches...
  7. Oh yeah, play single notes. Two notes at one time are a trainwreck 90 percent of the time.
  8. Use overdrive in front of it (preferred) or overdrive on your amp. Use your neck pickup. Play from the 10th fret up. Use a light pick attack. I know it sounds crazy, but that's how you get the coolest of the "ghost notes."
  9. I had similar impressions of one I owned for a little while. The one I had was a three-pickup model with push pulls to tap the neck mini and the bridge bucker. Very versatile, very comfy to play. Great gig guitar.
  10. Ya lucky your shoes are still dry. I've taken that one on a spin or two. Sweet guitar!
  11. Travis, korina is a variety of mahogany and if mahogany works for a Cali or a Chap, korina should work just fine too. I'd think the main benefit would be lighter in weight, a little more resonance and substantially higher on the "wowwee" scale.
  12. This could justify a fourth section of the forum. HFC Messageboard The Outer Circle For Sale/Want To Buy/Pay It Forward Poe-nography
  13. That would make complete sense, tobe...the lowmid whudthud of the SD would probably balance nice with the glassiness of the 12ver's octave strings and make for more balanced of a sound between the strings. Just don't move it down to the bottom neck! Shittone!
  14. What tombo said. I'm the biggest George Lynch fan you'll find on the HFC, but the Screamin' Demon sounds like Soaprah Oprah to me. Tried 'em in a variety of guitars and I'm convinced I could shit on a magnet and get better tone. Then again, I'm a JB fan, so take it for what it's worth.
  15. Cajun Boy got a bad ass trans red hardtail ash/rosewood G&L Legacy from Indoor Storm and from what I remember, he said it was a very pleasant experience working with them.
  16. My first reaction when I saw the Tonequest article was "the days of cheap Hamers are REALLY over now" LOL
  17. Prayers and wishes for wellness sent out.
