  1. I've picked the Saturday, January 19 date, and I think there may also be another special event coming up at the 4-3-2-1 Club in late February or early March. I'll keep you posted on that one. Can't wait to rock out with you guys again!
  2. Hey guys and gals, let's go with the Jan. 19 date. There may be another special event coming up at the 4-3-2-1 Club in late February or early March, anyway. What looks good on your calendar? I'm thinking Jan. 18-19 or Feb. 8-9. Preferences? Jan. 19? Who's in?
  3. I have faith in your ability to make the proper decisions concerning this guitar. I eagerly await my turn for a photo op with the finished product. Hurry! When are you coming to visit again? It's almost blizzard season, so probably soon, right?
  4. Alright folks. You asked for it, you got it. Here's a photo of Bill's foot, day 5 of healing. This is NOT for the squeamish!!
  5. Glad to hear you're moving around Bill! And yes, send a few photos. I'll post them. I'll PM my email address to you.
  6. I know Bill probably wouldn't start this thread on his own, but please keep him in your thoughts. He posted the following in the 4-3-2-1 Club party thread. We'll miss him tomorrow!! ------- "I fought the saw and the saw won" so it was a beautiful day. Along the creak in the back 3 acres are a bunch of American elm trees. Every year 1-3 of them die (DED I presume). I thought I would take advantage of the gorgeous day and cut one down and get it stacked up. I have a 20" Stihl Rancher (great saw, btw). Cut down the tree no problem, started cleaning up the branches....It turns out one of the branches was a Virginia Creeper ...real thick one. as a approached it I put my left foot down ...behind the cut..and started cutting away from my foot. Something caught on the chain and the whole thing just sort ...blew up...I felt a pain in my left leg, and assumed that the branch broke and whiplashed into my leg/foot...kept cutting and realized the branch wasn't broken...started wondering what it was that hit my leg....then I looked down at my foot... As blood was pouring from a 4 inch gash in my shoe...I realized where the pain ws coming from and what happened. The saw kicked back at least 2-3 feet right into my foot. It happend so fast and violently...I had no idea what happened. Managed to get to the ER and after 5-6 hours of surgery...the prognosis was ...unknown. They reattached a tendon and fixed another one...lost a bunch of nerves and a chunk of flesh around the size of my thumb from the instep of my left foot. I won't be walking for days/weeks...but some good news: When they redressed it at the Dr yesterday...I wiggled my toes (painfully...but still) so now the prognosis is ...loss of sensation (permanent) but I will have at least some use of my toes. One day at a time.... - Bill ---------- Here's a pic of Bill jamming out with his buds at the 4-3-2-1 earlier this year:
  7. My last high-priced concert ticket was for Prince at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, 10 years or so ago. I think I paid $75. Was it worth it? Probably not, considering that I've seen other phenomenal acts for much much less. But, the man is still one of the most musically creative, entertaining and energetic performers I've ever seen. I also saw him play in 1983, during the 1999 tour. Great stuff!
  8. Everything you need to know about posing, including coordinating your costume with your guitar, you can learn from watching the bass player in this video. I wonder if Madame Pamita has those boots in my size. I grew up listening to this song, played live by friends of mine, and I've been a Mott fan since my teenage years.
  9. Nope. The shirt I'd like is the one our very own KB is so studly modeling: That;s the one I want! I got one of those from a Hamer dealer that showed up at the HFC jam in Belgium when I was there a few years back. I've never seen them offered anywhere in the US.
  10. Everything looks cool about that photo! Especially the Jr. you've got strapped on there.
  11. Simply amazing! I would pay to see Poe's band do this version of the song. ROTFLMAO!!!
  12. LOL. I'm glad I was among the first to leave my stank on that one!
  13. My new best friend, Bruiser Brody! Thanks to you and Heather, and sorry we missed the dinner connection. I'll be back!
  14. I don't think I'd survive. Looking forward to meeting you guys at the Continental at 3:00 this afternoon.
  15. I should be in Austin on Friday and Saturday. I'm staying with an old friend there, and one of my goals is to get out to see a show or two. It'd be great to meet you guys.
  16. Oh Hell Yeah! The ride through the swamp, and the zydeco breakfast have me a little punked today, but what a fantastic time! I can't begin to thank Jeff and Vonnie enough. It was good to hang out with Gary and Cole too. Off to Houston tomorrow, followed by San Antonio and Austin before the ride home. Oh Hell Yeah! 19. Oh, and to whet your appetite, here's a few photos from Frozen Jams in years past. 2004 - Ted Rocks! 2004 - Joe was a relative newbie at this time, I believe. 2004 - I miss BadgerDave! 2004 - And the usual posers are always present! 2004 - Too much fun! 2004 - Everybody loves the SwirlyGig! Here's more. 2005 - This one was very cold, sparsely attended, but no less enthusiastic. 2005 - What guitar's he going to show up with next? 2006 - Too much fun! 2006 - Hell YEAH! 2006 - Kick Out The Jams! 2007 - Thank goodness we've got some new wigs this year. 2007 - Things are always better when the real singers show up! 2007 - Uh oh, someone fell in love with a T-51. 2009 - The lampshade came out early this year. You get the picture. Come on over!
  20. OK, you guys know the drill. Martinis at 5:00 on Saturday, and bring your favorite beverage to share. I'll fire up the grill around 7:00 and cook some Everett's brats and weiners. Can't wait to see everyone again. It's been awhile.
  21. I know me and Joe are going to be there. What about some of the other guys - Rob, Jimmy, Johnny, any of the girl bands, Zoner, Ted, BILL W etc ????? Hmmm...guess I need to ping a few people off the board. And now that I think about, I should round up a drummer too.
  22. Um, who are you? I'm not sure I want one-post wonders at my house.
