I don't know what's the best, but I know what sucks, for me anyhow. ERNIE F'N BALL Strings. I bought a box of'em off Ebay a couple of months ago, and restrung 3 or four of my gits with'em. Every single guitar has popped the D String at least twice. I've never had a problem with Ernie's before, but this batch sucks out loud. I'm a bit of a flogger , but not so much where I have to wear safety googles when I play, so I don't put an eye with strings busting all the time. Before the ERNIE F'N BALL fiasco, I usually use Dean Markley, and no D string time bombs in the whole time.

Here's my '97, with Antiquitiy pick-ups.

WAY Baaaack,when I was a teen-ager, my dad and I used to pull semi-cruel pranks on each other. I dumped out the last little remaining amount of Lavoris mouthwash, and filled the bottle up with Strawberry Suave shampoo. They looked really close in color. Dad gets up at 5:00 am, brushes his teeth, hits a swig of Lavoris +++, and the fun begins.

Kilroy, I'm really digging that Gibson Flying V. Very schweet. I guess my #1 is my 2002 R8. It bumped my Standard out of the #1 slot. Great tone, even with the stock '57 Classic pups. I've been considering changing the pups out to a set of Antiquities, but I'm afraid it may not sound as good. But then again, it may get better....what to do, what to do.
