I wish I had a fraction of the talent that it takes to pull off such a beautiful job. Just a killer looking guitar. You Da Man! -

I'm getting the feeling this re-fin is gonna be bad-ass. Nice looking work so far. Any decision on the finish yet? -

It looks like your off to a great start on the restoration. After an "Extreme Make-Over", I'll bet this thing will look sweet. Good luck to ya! -

I play my guitars slung a bit on the low side. It seems that the pick-up sticking out of the back of the guitar may be tough on my balls. Also, are those square dots on that double cut-away? *editted to add some more sarcastic remarks ... LOL*

Nice pics. I'm not a Strat type of guy, but some of those Charvels look great. The inlay work on some of those Gibson acoustics is jaw-dropping. At the risk of being ostracized, I gotta say Hamer's display has left me wondering, who exactly are they targeting? Of the pics that I've seen, nothing really gets my attention. I know the quality is there, but the aesthetics leave me wanting.

It's different. But those Victory inlays, just never have appealed to me. I guess I better get used to them ... or dots.

01. Rip It Out 02. Hard Times 03. Parasite 04. Snowblind 05. I Want You 06. Rock Soldiers 07. Shot Full Of Rock 08. Into The Void 09. Breakout 10. Stranger In A Strange Land 11. Strange Ways 12. New York Groove 13. Shock Me 14. Rocket Ride 15. Medley 16. Love Gun 17. Cold Gin 18. Black Diamond outro 19. Deuce Drop Deuce, Love Gun, Black Diamond outro. These are obviously KISS songs which have much closer ties to Gene and Paul, than to Ace. Swap them out with some other more Ace oriented songs. IMHO anyway. The rest of the setlist is really cool. After checking TicketBastard, I found that the Columbus show has been postponed. It was set for Feb 2, 2008. Hopefully it'll get rescheduled.

For those who are going to see Ace play, a little of what to expect. One of my fav Frehley written KISS songs: Parasite Ace is playing in Columbus Ohio in the near future. I'm hoping to make it to the show.

The footage of Ace & Jeanette's wedding leaves quite a bit to be desired, in the film quality. The footage looks awful, very blurry and shaky. But as a fan, I'm extremely thankful to be able to see it at all.

Your best Hamer purchase 2007 - with pics!

I was watching that one on ebay, (if it's the same guitar). If I hadn't bought my Vector recently, I probably would have thrown my hat in ring for that one. I don't have a P90 equipped guitar, and with those on a black Studio, I was starting to drool. Nice score! -

AHAHAHAHA! KILLAH! -
1st off, I pulled out disc 2 of my KISSology last night, and it looked like someone had been seeing how many hops they could get skipping it across a parking lot. SCRATCHED to hell. I've never had a brand new DVD with a single mark on it before, let alone looking like this. The Tiger Stadium show, was the first official show of the tour. I agree that the video feed as a DVD format is a poor choice. The playing was sub-par also, but as the first show of the tour, with 4 guys who hadn't played together in QUITE a while, should be no surprise. I think if we were in the crowd that night it would have "sounded" much better. Now the 4 or 5 songs on the MTV VMA show were super tight, and played as well as you could play them. One of my favorite parts on the DVD set. You could see how much a difference a couple of months of touring together had sharpened them up. The Dodger Stadium Psycho Circus show was pretty good. Nice camera work. I saw that tour also, and gotta say ... the 3D effect from the jumbotrons was plain weak. It was comical looking back from the 3rd row at the mass of humanity with those dumb-ass looking paper glasses on. Unplugged is an awesome show. I remember watching it on the original broadcast, and my jaw hit the floor when Ace and Peter came out. That was right before the internet took off, and you could still keep a surprise, a surprise. The overlap of material is annoying, but most major bands have a core group of songs, that they think they HAVE to play. As a fan, I'd much rather hear "Flaming Youth" once, than "Shout It Out Loud" for the 500th time. KISS has a TON of songs, that 99% of the audience would cream their jeans over, if they played them. Gene and Paul always blamed Ace and Peter for the limited setlist, saying they couldn't play the obscure stuff. Yeah, right. I still haven't got watch all the discs yet. But so far ... I like KISSOLOGY III. Not as good as #1, but more than #2.

I wanted a Korina Vector for a LONG time. I watch Evilbay pretty close for Hamers. I watched this down to the last second and scored it for a really good price. It's a 2006 model, and is in brand new condition. I'm still super pleased with it. I added the black pickguard, courtesy of our own RobB. Just a dynamite guitar, with a great sound. I believe it came from Music Zoo. Nice folks to do biz with. -
How does your wife feel about you wearing her shorts?

Led Zeppelin Tribute to Ahmet Ertegun concert. You may ask ... Who the f*ck was Ahmet Ertegun. Yes, he was the founder of Atlantic Records. BUT, he was also depicted in the movie Ray, (the Ray Charles flick with Jamie Fox). Ahmet Ertegun was portrayed in the movie by Revenge Of The Nerds alumni, Curtis Armstrong. Curtis played Booger in the Nerds movie. So there you have it. Ahmet was a Booger.

Page could play Kashmir with his dick and the haters still wouldn't be impressed. So there ya go.
