  1. Gena Korina strikes again. Nice Artist.
  2. Personally, I think it'd be a great investment. Buy an old PAF, and tuck it away for 5 or 10 years. I'd bet you could make a killing reselling it down the road, in 5 years.
  3. Awesome ... Kiz gets all the sweet gits.
  4. I've only plugged into a few tube amps. I like what I hear through them. But typically they cost 3X what a good SS runs. For me personally, I have a hard time justifing that cost. I don't hear $1000 difference in the amps. NOT that I wouldn't like to own a nice tube amp, but it's a tough call to spring that money for my likings. I was looking for an image of my amp, and found this one, which is exactly what mine looks like ... head and 4 X 10 cab. I play through a Marshall MOSFET, and it sounds pretty good for my basement song butcherings.
  5. That dude is full of Horse-Sh!t. That's Mick Mars' guitar!!!
  6. Heres one of the "elusive" Union Jack Blitz guitars, that Def Leppard made popular during their Pyromania heyday. The music store that I bought my Hamer Blitz at, had one in stock, at the time I purchased mine. A nostalgic guitar, IMO. Great looking guitar! Is the seller our own Smakutus? Ebay Union Jack Blitz ~Not shilling anyone's guitar here, just Hamer drooling~
  7. Now that right theres some funny stuff.
  8. "think about it ... for the cost of one puny Happy Meal, you could be enjoying all the benifets of being an Outer Circle member. But wait there's more!!! By becoming a member you'll be able to have Galejt ... yes I said Galejt ... personally email you his thought provoking ideas directly to the email address you specify. But hurry ... this offer is good for a limited time only."
  9. The Outer Circle is kind of like the Illuminati of the HFC. You've heard rumors and old wives tales about it, but aren't really sure if it actually exists. Well I'm here to tell ya ... IT'S REAL!!!!! MUWHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!! (evil echoing laugh)
  10. Male? ... Hardly, look at him!
  11. I'm digging the mouse-trap shirt that dude has on.
  12. With all those knobs and switches, I thought it was a BC Rich Bich. Really though, that's a great catch, and when Dr. Greg gets done, it will be bitchin' !
  13. I thought Charlie Watts replaced Pete Best.
  14. No, this aint Dimebag Darrell meets Deliverance. Just a link to Dime throwing a couple of pointers out. Squealing Dimebag
  15. 1983 or '84 Pearl White Blitz. Snake - Head headstock. Very sweet guitar, which I sold around 1989 or '90. (yes, I'm a Dumb - Ass) I had to wait until I was 22 years old till I got my first HAMER. Then I see a 12 year with a gold Blitz. UN - Fair! BruceM ... your Studio looks killa with that top. Great looking gits everybody!
  16. I owned an Ovation Custom Legend about 7 or 8 years ago. When I went to buy it, my eyes were knocked out by it's beautiful black finish, and sleek look. It played decent. I played at home for about a week, only to realize that it didn't come close to sounding as good as my old Yamaha 12 stringer. Side by side, the Ovation, unplugged, sounded very thin and almost like a cheap kid's guitar. The old Yamaha, while not a great sounding guitar but very adaquate for me, "smoked" the Ovation in tone. Additionally, I found the round back to be a nuisance. I don't have a very bit gut, (at least not at that time ), and found myself having to cinch it back into my lap constantly. Now plugged in, the Ovation sounded very nice. But I didn't buy an acoustic to plug it in. So I wound up selling it, and fortunately I didn't lose any money on it. Just throwing my experience out there. Many ppl love Ovations and more power to them. But I had one of their top models, and was disappointed with its sound. Good Luck on the "acoustic quest".
  17. I have a short list of bands that never got to see, when I had an opportunity to, and AC/DC with Bon Scott is probably at the top of that list. I've see AC/DC about 7 or 8 times with Johnson, but never seeing Bon Scott perform is one of my "I'm kicking my own ass" moments.
  18. The Darkness RAWKS .... get over it. I've only heard a little bit of the new one on the Darkness website. I wasn't "seized by the short hairs" like I was with their last CD. IIRC, I thought Mutt Lange was gonna produce their new one. Guess it didn't work out. Mutt seemed to have the m.o. of making great albums, only to turn great rock bands into pussy rock, once they had an audience. If OWTTHAB doesn't grow on me, I can always listen to the last one.
  19. The Boobiecaster
  20. Sorry to hear about your mother. You still have the good memories, and hopefully they'll hold you over until the pain eases. I can only imagine the heartbreak. Thoughts and prayers at ya.
  21. Any of the Pink Floyd radio hit rotation songs ... JEEZ! We've got a really good hard-rock station (WTUE) outta Dayton, OH , but I swear ... they play Pink Floyd what seems at least once an hour. We've got a small transistor radio in our bathroom, and everytime I take a shower, or pinch a loaf, there goes Money, Comfortably Numb, Hey You, Another Brick In The Wall, Time, etc. I DO like Floyd, but man ... there's SO much more music out there. WTUE does play the occasional obscure tune; example just the other night, they played Aerosmith's Draw The Line. Couldn't believe it. I ain't ever heard that song on the radio. But back to the overplayed songs, that's why I hate the radio ... the repetitiveness, and the fuggin' commercials. 5 minutes of tunes ... 7 minutes of commercials. Just give me my CDs.
