I play all my basses at rehearsals and gigs as well as practicing, but #1 by a very slim margin is my mutt, mahogany bodied, franken-P-Bass clone with a Fender "Original 62" pickup, MIM Fender hardware and a $20 e-Bay neck. It plays great, sounds fabulous and never needs truss rod adjustments; hell, I seldom even need to tune it because it is so stable. My 2-TEK Cruise is a close #2 and, if it weighed a couple of pounds less, it would easily be my #1. It is the best bass I've ever owned and it is definitely my best sounding bass...my bandmates LOVE it. The Reverend is a close #3 and my fretless MIJ Fender Jazz is #4. My Kay 1/4 size upright is a very, very, very distant 5th but gaining.
