  1. Thanks, for that price I thought I would get one for my XT standard.
  2. Peep Show. A British comedy
  3. 2020 was a year I knew I needed to get out even before Covid. That year I had 10 or 11 kids who just would not do anything and a few of them started saying why should I. I can wait and do course recovery and complete all the work in one semester or one year that everyone else has all three years to do. I was actually quite happy when the school’s closed and we had to go virtual for that group. I don’t think I could’ve took them for another quarter. also nothing about HFC IV
  4. It is probably the best place to start if it is a USA version.
  5. Since I am making stupid jokes I thought I would continue. Does that mean HFC6 will use AI? Yes, I am paying homage to a great photoshop artist.
  6. I think you misunderstand my position. Kizanski as the teacher decides to grade it when he is good and ready. If the student or parent calls to ask if the work is accepted they can pound sand. If they ask when it will be graded it will be graded "later". If it is turned in on time it will be graded on time. If it is turned in late it will be graded when I get to it. It is overtime work and I didn't get paid overtime. Lucsulla will just have to wait to see if they made the grade... Lucsulla( this is just a stupid teacher joke, has nothing to do with you) I think you may understand...
  7. I know the deadline was extended, but that’s still technically late!😀
  8. Since it is late it won’t be graded till later…🤣. Laughs the retired teacher!!!!
  9. An import Hamer 12 string bass. Seems to be one of the better early versions from 2000. Had some issues that are temporarily resolved and plays great.
  10. I am Dade City. 2 hour drive.
  11. In the immortal words of Frito. "I like money" I can do it for you. Send me a cd or more and I will rip it and put it on a pin drive and send it back. I am in central florida. I was thinking of coming to the Orlando guitar show but that may be too late for this collection. But if you have a Mac then buy a usb dvd player drive. Connect it to the Mac and start up Music, or iTunes if it is an older Mac. Open settings and choose the import format and put in the disc and Music will rip it for you. It will store it in a folder in the music folder of your user account.
  12. Offered up my worst of the best of the HFC volume V..... hahaha
  13. Sometimes I think I shouldn’t worry about my kids inheritance….
  14. I’ll give you half a 20 now if you tell me who by the end of the thread…
  15. I have this exact guitar except I upgraded pickups and tuners. I still like it a lot. If it isn’t selling it may be the price or the audience. 🤔
  16. That's purty but I wonder why no decal on headstock. Refin?
  17. I have never minded my Hamer's painted/finished necks but my first bass was a USA Fender Bullet Bass. The cheap series before they moved it to import builds. It had a varnished neck. I sanded that down with in days of buying it and have never regretted it. Definitely a forever bass.
  18. Import Hamer 12 string bass. that's all.
  19. So, over the last 4 years it has been 2 new basses in and erm.. let me count... oh yea, zero going out. 😀
  20. Eventually I will do a proper fix but using my duck tape and bailing wire certifications I have the tail piece stable and the bass is staying in tune. Back to having fun with this bad boy….
  21. There is a really good shop in Tampa that actually has some Hamer ties that I have used to do a setup on my Prototype and to install some of Josh's pickups in my old Fender bass. Since I am 98% positive this is mahogany wood and not the soft basswood of the later imports I am putting some support washers under the tailpiece and adding slightly larger and much better screws into the wood. Will be stringing it up tomorrow ( and maybe for a few days. 12 freaking strings! ha) but it feels way more stable at this point. If this doesn't work then I will consider something else. One thing mentioned in the other thread was that the screws turned in the wood and didn't catch. Actually the original screws removed with no problem and then held pretty well once reinstalled with adding the support of some metal washers. But I decided to take Dutchman's advice and go slightly larger in the wood screws. If it has to be doweled out and replaced then a slightly bigger screw would make not difference. I do think the tuners are not that great. (no surprise, it is the import) So, if the tailpiece holds well, I will probably replace the tuners. I guess that will be a piece meal method of sourcing those. again, Thanks for all the help
