  2. As long as we are talking about OD/Distortions, I gotta recommend Catalinbread's Silver Kiss Trinity American Edition. Wow, this pedal sounds great and is flexible. Light to medium OD. Doesn't overly compress or color your tone... A classic in the making. Super open, articulate and touch sensitive. Sounds best through a cleaner amp. Here's a good clip with a Strat. It gets better with an LP.
  3. Keeley modded RAT here. Was definitely better than stock not as good as my vintage one. Robert has great customer service. He's up there with the best like Analog Mike.
  4. LP jr. or any Korean Reverend or Epi Elite.
  5. Anybody seen that Fuzz pedal documentary with the bald guy who asks, "What's the most important thing about a piece of equipment to musicians?" "Resale!" It's pretty funny. The guy is a total bitter New Yorker a-hole but totally spot on.
  6. I used to have one in Jazzburst. Really nice open tone. http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a88/Dumo_/IMG_5618.jpg
  7. Simplicity for me. A purple Goodsell Super 17 Combo and a few pedals. I haven't had any amp GAS since I got it.
  8. No good deed goes unpunished.
  9. Pentagram. Easily as great as early Sabbath. Even their side projects were great. Bedemon.
  10. Craig, Let me be the first to say sorry to hear about your nerve damage. Hope everything is Ok.
  11. Having two young ones makes you the walking dead.
  12. Nick Oliveri from Queens of the Stone Age for sure. I just got an excellent SB recording from 2002 Amsterdam and man they were on fire back then. Mark Lanegan and Dave Grohl too. J Mascis firing Lou Barlow from Dinosaur Jr. was an unwise move as well. Chuck Biscuits leaving Danzig. Chuck Dukowski getting booted from Black Flag. Iggy Pop ousting the Stooges. Ramones without Dee Dee.
  13. Blonde and wicker? That's super sweet. I see a lot of Mesa gear living in the SF Bay Area(near Petaluma). Put up a wanted to buy ad in the local Craigslist. I'd recommend sending it into Mesa for a check up and retube after that. Randall Smith has said the Studio preamp is the best he's ever built. I'd agree.
  14. That's right. '57 reissue made in 2003. Love Jr.s.
  15. It's one of these reasons: 1. Some eccentric cokehead made it in limited quantities 2. Some popular/overrated blues guy uses/used one
