  1. I can barely see my frets now wearing glasses! Now way can I wear shades! I never wore shades anyway. My house is chock full of 100 watt lighting!
  2. It definitely does! But to really get what I wanted out of it I had to replace the original preamp tubes and switch to EL34 power tubes. Since that I've been happy with my tone and sustain every gig. Just my fingers piss me off sometimes!
  3. Friday was our second show for Time Bomb- this time we did the opening set. Crowd was a lot lighter than last time, because of a great band playing down the road one mile at another club. After our set we headed down there too. I saw a lot of people that could and should have been at our set and wasn't too thrilled! It's so hard to create any loyalty with fans! Band performance was good, but not like the last time. I had some glitches and gremlins, and my freshly recharged wireless batteries crapped out in the middle of a song, obviously defective and not holding a charge. The sound guys may have lowered bass and or drums at one point, because there was one or two songs I could not hear them and as a result got way off timing in my solo. I thought it was a total train wreck, but everybody told me after that we sounded great. My old singer from Hotwired was there and said on that particular song he heard a few missed notes but all in all it was great. My boss and her husband were there and gave us a thumbs up review. I guess we must have done something right, because we got $100 for one set last time and this time we got $150. The club also told us they thought we were even better this time, but I know that is NOT the case! Still, it was a blast! My Flying V has become my primary weapon: And Jager-Bombers are my poison of choice. Instant Stage Courage! This venue is awesome, between stage, lights, smoke and competent sound and light guys- And there's our lovable mascot, "TommyBoy"! Chicks can't resist TommyBoy!
  4. I'm sorry. I find myself wanting to hurt that singer. Hurt him very bad!
  5. Man, that was the most detailed and funniest (although not funny at the same time!) story I've read in a while! The singer is a douche bag. Good Riddance. Lead Singers Disease, etc. The drummer is a drunken little Napoleon motherf@#ker. Definitely should have recieved a solid ass kicking before the door hit his ass on the way out. F@#k him- drummers are a dime a dozen, and most of them at least have a Honda Civic to cram their drums into. Sounds like you and OGG and BG have some chemistry and know how to get along, so reform, put together a kickass project and make sure the two douche bags hear about it! As far as the hired gun with a country band, I say go for it in the meantime. Here in AZ country bands make double what rock bands do, play to packed venues with better looking eye candy as well. Good luck at whatever!
  6. Yup. That's how I felt when I picked up my first Strat in 30 years. They work real well on some songs though!
  7. I want....one. I..........must have one!!! That is ME!
  8. Wow! Who woulda' thought! Dayyyyaammmnnn!
  9. What if you were a never-was and a never-will-be? Uhhh.....I already am that.
  10. I had an El Diablo combo. The problem I had was that I wanted use my full size Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifer setup for big gigs and the combo for smaller gigs. The amps sounded too different, so it involved too much knob tweaking for me. I also would recommend using the El Diablo head and a separate G-Flex cabinet. It sounds better than the combo version. It is a very versatile amp and has ungodly amounts of gain. There is one for sale currently on Phoenix Craigslist- http://phoenix.craigslist.org/msg/633747252.html
  11. Ziggy Stardust- David Bowie Queensryche- Operation Mindcrime entire album Down on Main St. - Bob Seger Whiskey in the Jar- Metallica
  12. Sweet! I'm jealous!
  13. I listened to your cover. I thought it was sick.......demented..........twisted....... I.........liked it!
  14. Thanks for the plug, Greg!
  15. I hear ya on that one, man! Believe me, there is a lot of room for improvement too!
