I own a Martin 000 ($800-$900)and a Gibson J30 Banner(bought used ten years ago for US$500) acoustic. I also picked up a Hohner 800 series acoustic. At about US$800 it is an amazing guitar. Solid wood construction and it booms.

I mailnly have CDs at this point and the top shelf space eaters in my collection are: The Beatles - The ultimate collection of perfect pop tunes The Rolling Stones - The dark side of the ultimate collection of perfect pop tunes Frank Zappa - Genius disguised as a disgruntled social critic The rest of my collection (5000 plus CDs) is ALL over the map. I just love music.

I fly about 50,000-100,000 miles per year. I always make sure I drink plenty of water when on a plane and take a lot of vitamin C. That and saline nasal spray. Not for me. I spray it in th eyes of anyone who sneezes or coughs near me on th eplane without covering their filthy mouths. LOL!

Prince's Black Album is a fantastic document of how to play funk rock. It seems weird that he i smost known for Purple Rain.... Don't dig his persona per se, but the guy can play. I remember back in 1984 when I was in the Army, stationed in Monterey, CA the local movie theatre played Purple Rain for almost a year. It was almost like Rocky Horror.

I have used a Fender Pro Junior in a three piece live and it works great. Just dime the contorls and work off your guitar's volume and tone controls. At US$299 they are a bargain tube amp.
