This is the one and only Fender that I've owned...Sold it to buy a Hamer...(Note: yes, I know, it's not a pure "tele")...

The man is BRILLIANT! 1.25 MILLION views in just over 3 days, calls for interviews, and a call from Oprah! They're obviously talented musicians. I see stardom on the near horizon.

PSA: Friend's NOS Special FM on eBay
Russ replied to Feynman's topic in For Sale - Wanted to Buy - PIF - eBay & Other PSAs
If it helps narrow it down for ya, my 94 does NOT. -
My first was a 95 Studio wrap tail...Got it about 3 years ago. One of the most incredible guitars I had EVER played. I figured it was just one of those "the gods smiled down, the stars aligned, and everyone in the factory was happy that week" freak of nature type of things...I've since added 5 more, all of them incredible...The first is far right below...

EVERYBODY POST SOME SPECIAL PICS!!!
Russ replied to cornjulio's topic in Hamer Fan Club Messageboard
Well, it's not "early", but, it is 15 years old...(and she ain't goin nowhere either) -
As I was learning who I was on the guitar, I was most listening to Alex Lifeson, David Gilmour, Pete Townsend, and Stevie Ray Vaughan. I was most "influenced" by Pete, but play much more like Alex...Go figure.

My two black ones, sadly, neither a Hamer 98 Parker NiteFly... 06 4003 (sadly, no longer in the fleet)...

Here's my pair...er...I mean trio...number 4 to arrive in a week or so... (Is it just me, or does Hamer make some really awesome shit? - rhetorical question)

Ted, I've got a '92 DC135 Koa, and an 05 C66 (HSH, Mahogany body, flamed maple cap, maple neck, birdseye maple fretboard, no inlays, vintage yellow finish). Also, one of their B4 basses in pearl silver. The DC135 has been in parts for pushing 4 years now, waiting for me to get around to applying some fresh tung oil (my money's on 'it ain't gonna happen'). The C66 is actually for sale at the moment (to fund another Hamer), however I don't seem to be getting many bites on it (only have it posted on 2 small boards though, I imagine if I flung it on TGP, it would move quickly, gorgeous guitar). Pics of it RIGHT HERE The B4 I'll never get rid of, as it's quite light (under 8 lbs), solid, and sounds freaking awesome. It's only been out of the case twice in the last 2 years, but, that's only because I've been gigging on the skinny strings for those years. And I've "skimmed" though the for sale section...Will try and stay out until buying funds are replenished.

Guess I should have lurked for a while first. I figured this would be like an AA type of place. Hi, I'm Russ, and I love Hamer guitars...I haven't purchased one in 84 days... Fueling the fire is NOT something I need help with. Yes, there are many many (many) folks with collections to put my paltry 15 total to shame, but, ...I WAS headed somewhere... Oh yeah...Appreciate the warm welcome and words of encouragement...

Thank you...It could very well have been in a NYC shop. Got it from a guy in Albany, who makes frequent "purchasing pilgrimages" down that way. I was a little skeptical on the wraparound, for like 2 seconds. Just an all around incredible guitar. I'm way overdue to take insurance photos of the "inventory", hopefully over the next couple of weeks I'll make some time to do so, and post some pics that do justice to the stuff (I clearly won't bore you guys with the PRS, the Parker, the Tele, the Carvins, or the basses and acoustics) (yeah, this isn't a recently acquired illness).

Thanks...There WILL be more...But, the pockets are not bottomless...I've got a few years left in me. I'm eyeballing a few right now, one an Artist Ultimate, not too dissimilar from that sig pic...(more orange though)

Here's the studio... And the Mirage II... I've got some "in use" pics at the band website ( www.etownexpress.com ) and on my myspace page ( www.myspace.com/russtheguitarguy/ ). I'll see what others I have handy scattered around. Appreciate the info on the P90s. I "love" em as they are at home through my Palomino V32, so don't know if I'll swap em out or not. Info stored though, thanks.

Middle aged guy here, been playing for 30 years. Gear has come and gone, and come and gone. About 2 years ago, I stumbled across what I perceived as a great price on a very gently used 95 Studio in blue, with a pair of '59s. INSTANTLY, that guitar took over my #1 spot (bumping an "old factory" PRS Custom 24). It being my first Hamer, I just "assumed" it was a fluke guitar. I mean, how can I pick up an under a grand guitar that plays and sounds like this? About a year later, another deal presented itself, on an 00 Artist Korina P90s, so I jumped. The ONLY thing keeping that one out of the top 2 was that the pickups are just a tad too noisy on stage. Playability and tone, just phenomenal. A few weeks back, with a few idle moments at work, I stumble across an absolutely gorgeous Mirage II, and I POUNCED. The very next gig, I brought her out, and, just couldn't put it down. Haven't decided if it's the new #1 or not yet, but, it IS in the top 2! tried uploading some pics, but got a permissions error. I'll find some I have hosted and add 'em later.
