  1. Looks like a test board to me. Potentially having two individual electric circuits.
  2. Having written that in the parallel threat. It is looking like a refin to me.
  3. I can be wrong, but it is looking very much like a refin to me. Very clean overall - after all those years.
  4. Excellent! How are the pickups wired? It only has one switch.
  5. Exactly that’s what I did with a set of Phat Cats in my Newport. Pickups are wired to a five way rotary switch as singles each, in parallel, in series and in series reverse. Great sounds overall. The Phat Cats are working great with that. Soldering up the pickup covers and rewiring was an easy job. Now the pickups are having three wires instead of two. About two for the signal flow and an additional third for ground.
  6. What you potentially get is an XT with the glory details written forth and back of the headstock with a permanent marker.
  7. Seriously, I remember @zenmindbeginner recommending blue coated strings to me for its long lasting quality. I can‘t remember the brand though.
  8. It‘s like with blue guitars. Blue strings sound better or last longer.
  9. Cool guitar! I have always enjoyed your projects.
  10. Quite a broken voice he has. However, those were the times. It all grew out of random and, what I didn‘t know, they know each other from school. Also nice to hear that Paul Hamer used to be a guitar teacher. I just knew about guitar repair.
  11. I‘m watching this for months. Might pull the trigger on a loose day. https://www.musikhaus-korn.de/de/danelectro-de-59m-nos-gogo-blue-e-gitarre/pd/127033
  12. The Weber minimass is my preferred model. I had tested quite a few attenuators and finally settled to the minimass. As @disturber said, adjust volume first, then tone.
  13. Great time spent for quite a few concerts at the local Musiktheater Rex and some special locations. Nazareth Whiteshake - Whitesnake cover Demon‘s Eye - Purple cover Laura Cox Fun Halen - Van Halen cover Julian Sas Ron Spielman Trio The Hamburg Bluesband Götz Alsmann Flux mit Thomas Langer Dieburger Orgelmeile - Four organ concerts in four churches
  14. Patience had been rewarded. It looks gorgeous and deserves plenty of playing times after a decades long sleep.
  15. Regardless of acoustic or electric, concerts are loud. It doesn‘t make sense otherwise. The liveliness of music requires a certain dynamic to be enjoyable. But, it shouldn‘t hurt. Usually, I don‘t wear ear plugs. They make the sound dump, cut of the highs to much. Something, I don‘t want to pay for. Also at home I tend to rise the volume to enjoy the dynamics.
  16. There are a few switches on both guitars. What are they for?
  17. It is just a matter of time and the unobtainable-seeming becomes obtainable. I can tell you. A very nice collection and amp you‘ve got there. Potentially try a Newport with Phat Cats or a Talladega. An Artist if you like.
  18. For a while I run the AC-15 with a blue Celestion on 3/4 gain and the Newport with Phat Cats on very low volume. It creates a very scratchy percussive metallic tone that is really fun to hit a rhythm on it. Single notes don‘t sustain much as the volume is down a lot, but nice too. I haven‘t had the setting before. So, this is for the groove part of the thread. Have a great 24 everyone!
  19. Looking very nice with that magenta strings.
