  1. I think, I have qualified easily. Under home office conditions my office driving times have converted into home tasks that easily convert into twice the $7k guitar budget.
  2. This is my all time favorite AC/DC record. It got spinnin the other day. As I had been checking out the new one, when I fell back listening to Powerage in full. Unbeatable...
  3. It had no ups and downs to my ears. Pretty much flattened out. I‘d prefer Powerage over Power Up though.
  4. Digging Bonamassa's new Royal Tea. Songwriting partly with Bernie Marsden. Usually, I'm not a Bonamassa guy. But this one comes to my likes.
  5. Consider re-dialing the tone from last week!
  6. Interestingly, when you listen to the late Beatles and continue with early ELO I+II right after, except for the voice it keeps sounding very similar.
  7. Btw. For Queen fans I can strongly recommend the 180gr. Half speed cut Innuendo. I can't see that it had ever been released on vinyl originally. However, I had never been happy with the sound of the original CD. Then 2LP is just incredible. The title track Innuendo has never been more transparent and lust to hear. For some reason I bought Queen II 180gr, half speed too. Compared it to the original and must say the tapes have lost some brilliance over centuaries. The original sounds better to my ears. This then brought me to the strategy to prefer buying originals of good quality rather remasters. In Germany, we've got a great source for that: https://recordsale.de/de. The other day I have filled up my collection of the tubes i.e. I had seen them once in the early 80s and again in the late 90s. Always loved their music on record.
  8. The other day, I bought two 2017 remixes of resp. St.Pepper and Abbey Road on vinyl. Mixes are in modern full stereo and sound really great. I have Abbey Road in the two channel version in comparison. That’s hard to hear on a stereo nowadays. Same with an old The Who, Tommy I have. Recently, I went hunting some vintage vinyl. It’s great having vinyl spinning again.
  9. Lovely garden. It’s a shame its on the back of a guitar.
  10. I wonder, what’s difficult here? I’d easily and ever again chose the left in full responsibility for my children.
  11. Sound check... Hamer to fall
  12. Journey finally comes to an end. What a trip! Thanks everyone for story telling and pics posting!
  13. Queen The Miracle rediscovered the other day, CD spinning in the car for about two weeks now. What's been the LP backside really has it, very classic Queen with lots of Deacy amp sounds to hear. Really love it. Tend to rewind from #7 or #8 til end. Title signaled what came aware shortly before the show had to go on. just ordered the original LP as I went for the CD at the time.
  14. That‘s the hell of a drummer. ETA: She is tough too, not giving up on a single note from her path of a slow song. Great voice btw.
  15. Walking on, 4th week, 4th Boston album. This is it to me I must say. Not only has it equally great song writing compared to the first two albums, but on much better sound and dynamic. Drive and enthusiasm returned from the slower 3rd stage. It couldn’t get better and history showed, it didn’t. Love it any time I put it back on spinnin.
  16. Boston - The Third Stage this week in the car. Very cool album with some incredible sounds I have never heard anywhere else. Soundwise truly another stage from the first two albums. Although having lost the playing dynamics of the 1st and 2nd album, it’s stunning. A bit slow overall to my tastes. But, never mind.
  17. Having moved over and Don't Look Back - Boston It had been my first Boston album. I remember when I heard the riff for the 1st time, I had to have the record. I think it's a great successor of the wonderful predecessor. Kind of holding the pace.
  18. Boston - Boston Rediscovered the unparalleled greatness of this album.
  19. Is that on any CD/LP? I don't have a clue on which it would be.
  20. Can't believe, it was just before they broke the law! Had to pull out the old LP since I thought it had been before 1979. I remember when I bought it and first listened, it appeared to me supper fast. The speed kind of scared me at first. You know, I was young and innocent.
  21. Just listening to the Heavyocity Scoring Guitars samples playlist.
