  1. My general experience, it is helpful to give the brain some time to relax on a topic in order to improve on it.
  2. Our holiday spins through Scotland were lead by Roger Taylor's Fun On Earth, Oli Brown's Songs From The Road, and German band SEEED with Taylor by far in the lead.
  3. Digged this out of the LP stash today. Anything Geldof is always a great listen. Boomtown Rats - V Deep
  4. If that doesn't break in I dont know.
  5. Bought the CD. Very nice!
  6. Explain this to me please. I wonder I have seen this ever before.
  7. Iron Maiden Killers is always a great listen. Pulled out the original vinyl today.
  8. Its monkey time! The Tubes.
  9. It got to be a great day!

  10. Went to my sons ol' guitar teachers birthday party last Saturday. Handmade music only with lots of guitar playing and a pot fest. As a non smoker you soon feel left out. Also I had to drive home and could not drink against it too. They were all nice people as you can imagine.
  11. Dang, I think I'm just at a low right now. In the week I rarely pick up a guitar for weeks now. Although, I had a rhythm I like that's been recorded already. I bought some VST effects to bring the band on to the PC too. It doesn't get me on to make the song out of it I have in mind. Actually, I barely do anything useful musically right now. At this low point even bought a guitar. Gratefully it is a Standard and I didn't do any stupid. I really hope it all lifts me to another level as you describe.
  12. Spent some time with the same calld Blueray in the last weeks. I can highly recommend if you want to dig in the past a bit. All live concerts from the beginning up to Discovery and Out of the Blue the main concert. Awesome video and sound quality too.
  13. Eldorado for me is quite on the same level with Deep Purple's Concerto for Group and Orchestra and Vai's Sound Theories. I really digg the hybrid combination of classic and band when it is written for that.
  14. I'm with you. Had ELO spinnin' lately. Even some of them old stuff on to the buy list at A.
  15. Blackmore kind of is a forgotten guitarist to me.
  16. Steve Vai - Visual Thound Theories for a couple of days. Vai and orchestra is a fantastic mix. The concerts are a total blast. What an energy!
  17. Wolf Hoffmann - Classical ths morning Great to hear it again. The bolero can't be topped.
  18. Black Star - David Bowie
  19. HFC - The best way to meet your buddies with no need to wait until after-work.
  20. Thats a great idea! Still has table space for a strat and paul though. Does it need more than a cup of tea?
  21. I continue to be amazed at how much you look like me. Freaky! I'm also taken aback at some of the things I appear to be saying. Shocking! Yeah, and I always wonder how I would possibly look like without hair.
  22. I can't tell what I was up to writing this, however, a drop of bycicle chain oil helped to get rid of noise on Wilkinson bridge rollers.
  23. Since this thread come up again, it gives me the chance to note that I'm into Queen + PR - The Cosmos Rocks again. I really dig it. If you can make it to accept the situation. The record contains fantastic songs and even more fantastic guitar playing. Brian's tone shines through better than ever. Considered that it is one of the technically most high end recordings of the guys to get as opposed to digitally remastered 40 year old stuff. You can't get it any better. I'd like to have JohnnyB testament spinning it through his high end equipment. It would be interesting to know what he thinks.
  24. Listening to my recorded self played music the day after is like recycling organic waste to grow weed.
  25. What is that amateurs tend to compair themselves against professionalists who spent effort on single tones recorded one wouldn't spent on a song in a life time? Even prefessionalists say that it is hard for them to replay their own stuff on a daily basis. No reason for a midlife crisis though.
