draelyc Posted June 18, 2024 Posted June 18, 2024 This is the one I'm looking at: https://a.co/d/fqPIc3F The YouTube vids are interesting, to say the least, and I saw some good reviews on other forums. Just curious if anyone here has tried one. Y'all's thoughts? Thanks! Quote
Jakeboy Posted June 18, 2024 Posted June 18, 2024 I am also intrigued by this vibrato as a certain upcoming build will def need one… 1 Quote
velorush Posted June 18, 2024 Posted June 18, 2024 Isn't that the one @cmatthes used on a few of his builds? If it was, I recall a quite favorable opinion expressed. Quote

burningyen Posted June 19, 2024 Posted June 19, 2024 (edited) I tried one on my buddy's partscaster. Loved the expanded pitch range and the look of it. But he complained that intonation adjustment was a pain (people with Wilkinson bridges where the saddles screw down into the baseplate may be used to it) and didn't have enough adjustment range, and we agreed it sounded somewhat dead compared to other options. He ended up swapping it out. I would consider using one on a guitar where I'm trying to limit the treble and where I'm 100% sure the adjustment range will work with the mounting post placement. ETA: David Torn, one of my all-time guitar heroes, seems to love them. He uses very bright Fiam/Ronin gold-foil PUs. Edited June 19, 2024 by burningyen 1 Quote
