Get yourself a pickup and come and get this. I will be very appreciative and the price will reflect this. Ampeg SVT Amplifier & Acoustic Cabinet w/JBLs. Ampeg 300W SVT MTI era (1981-1985) bass amplifier and Acoustic 406 2x15" bass cabinet (1970s vintage) upgraded with JBL E-145-8 15" speakers. Both amp and cab purchased in 1981 - the amp new, the cab used. This rig was gigged regularly from '81 to '88 and has been in storage ever since. Obligatory stickers from the era have been removed and there is some tearing in the cabinet fabric. Otherwise both are in great working order and together are a force with which to be reckoned. Make sure you have no loose fillings or stools before you come to see me. 3 Quote

All beautiful guitars, although, the preamp on the BC Rich was a bit noisy. One guitar was a lefty Dean Z in what looked like an electric blue sunburst finish (something like Richard Petty #43 Blue), One was a Black Cadillac, and the BCR was a Koa Mockingbird. Great stuff. Hamer_SS_guy Posted August 10, 2024 Posted August 10, 2024 I have always been a Fender and Gibson guy from the early beginning. I was into Kramer for a moment ( they did some nice stuff). Fender and Gibson have the playability, sound and looks for me. Of those two, I am more towards Fender. But I really love my Cali and Steve Stevens (as well as my Chaparral Bass, which is my most-played Hamer) 1 Quote
seeker Posted August 10, 2024 Posted August 10, 2024 I don't really have one, but if pressed would go with DT McNaught. It's the only other guitar company I have 2 of other than Hamer, which I have 10+. This one was my custom order. 6 Quote
Camstone Posted August 12, 2024 Posted August 12, 2024 My Gibson R8 has been my #1 ever since I found her 8 years ago. I am thinking that it's less about a manufacturer and more about a preferred single instrument IMHO. 3 Quote
