velorush Posted February 27, 2025 Posted February 27, 2025 Welcome @DBATX! We actually had your guitar on our radar a couple of days ago. Great looking guitar. Best to you on the sale (and don't be offended if you're offered $350 ("tree-fity"), it's a running gag here)!
Dr. Bear Posted February 28, 2025 Posted February 28, 2025 If the 2nd digit of the serial number is a 4, then doesn’t that make this a 1996, not 2006? Every 1996 Artist I’ve seen so far has the thin neck “modern” carve, not the vintage trad profile. Just wondering.
cmatthes Posted February 28, 2025 Posted February 28, 2025 It's a '96. Usually, the light-colored rosewood board is the dead giveaway, but it also has several other characteristics that were changed after the over to New Hartford in '97.
